I met some college friends in State College for a 30+ year reunion and we stayed at the Days Inn Penn State. The room had 2 double beds and appeared to have been recently renovated. The room was clean and neat and the beds were quite comfortable; the bathroom was also spotless. Hopefully the hotel chain will continue with upgrading the remainder of the hotel because the hallway & elevator carpeting sure needed replaced. The hotel is conveniently located right downtown so the pleasures of State College were close at hand. Parking is really limited at the hotel so if multiple parties are sharing a room the extra cars will have to be parked off site; one parking pass per room.

We were lucky to get a room at the Days Inn at the last minute to visit State College for the Central PA Arts Festival. The hotel was sold out yet again. We booked a room with 2 double beds and received a newly refurbished room upon check-in. The remodeled rooms are very fresh and always super clean. All staff personnel are super friendly and helpful. Parking was a little challenging because they were sold out for the festival but after searching for a few minutes, we found a spot. You can't beat the Days Inn for the Arts Festival. The event starts a few steps from the front door. Our room on the 4th floor was surprisingly quiet even with the super loud bar next door. The free wi-fi was excellent this trip!

Room Tip: Higher floor because a very popular is next door.

We booked this hotel to spend a night at Penn State. The hotel is only a short walk into town and the campus - the room was clean and modern. We got stuck in a huge downpour on the way back to the hotel and the atrium in the hotel was a perfect place for the family to hang out in addition to our room. Unlike other Days Inn properties, there was no continental breakfast, but with the Penn State Diner only a short walk away, it was not a big deal.

Room Tip: we chose a room that faced the atrium which could be noisy on football weekends if the atrium area w...

We booked two rooms for a family of four -- and I'm happy we didn't try to squeeze us into one room: they're not on the spacious side of things. Great location though, clean rooms, good-size pool and friendly enough folks working at the reception. Unless it is luxury you're after, I'd recommend staying here.

Never stayed in a Days Inn before, but was pleasantly surprised by this one. The rooms are great, and the location can't be beat. Not much to complain about, and a terrific value. Only minor thing that was a bit confusing, was the parking. They have barely any spots on the top parking space which leads to confusion on where to park underneath in their other parking lot. This is minor, and very easy to forget when you had an enjoyable stay like mine. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for having taken the time to comment on your recent stay at the Chairman's Award winning Days Inn PennState. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed our location right in the heart of downtown, as well as our recent room renovations. They took some time, but came out very nice! Although our top parking deck doesn't hold all 186 spots, we do have a lot directly below it that has room as well as under the hotel. They are all located right next to each other directly behind the hotel with access to the hotel from each area. Thank you again for the kind words and we look forward to your next visit!

Seemingly haphazard design, with lots of steps to negotiate and a mazy route from the car park to the reception. Room was comfortable enough and the location was ideal, right next to the main street through State College. Shared areas could do with updating and no breakfast included in the price, so was quite expensive for what you got. Would probably look to stay elsewhere first on any return visit.

Thank you for having taken the time to comment on your recent stay with us at the Chairman's Award winning Days Inn Penn State. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our recent room renovations as well as our location in the "Heart of Downtown". It really is ideal, especially if you need to get to Penn State campus, or just head downtown for food and drink. We do have a couple of entrances on the back side of our hotel, coming in from the parking deck, so our guests don't have to walk all the way around to the front, making it easy to access the elevators or find the front desk. Thank you again for your comments and we hope to see you again in the future.
