The Stone cottage is everything you need for a weekend hideaway: cookies in the jar, oil and vinegar, a BBQ and a full body shower. There are two bedrooms so you can share it with friends if you like. It's 30 minutes from Lancaster, so be prepared to drive.

We really enjoyed our stay in the heart of Amish country! The Artist's Inn was a wonderful part of it. It was everything that we had hoped for. We would highly recommend the Artist's Inn to anyone.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in the Stone Cottage. We were looking for a quiet peaceful vacation to de-compress after months of wedding planning. It's hard to get more peaceful then the stone cottage.
The jacuzzi is the perfect size for two as is the shower. While I can see the cottage being great for a family it was also very nice for two people who just wanted to relax.
The innkeepers were very helpful in finding various places that we wanted to go and in helping me arrange a few surprises for my wife.
The kitchen is well set up and allowed us to eat some of the local food and simply relax after a day of site seeing or shopping. You don't hear anything outside except the occasional clip-clop of a horse and buggy because there's just no big noises. There is a park with in walking distance that overlooks a large valley and allows for a nice picnic location.
You are within a 30-45 minute drive of all the tourist areas but far enough away not to feel like you're a part of the crowd. I highly recommend it as a fun step into a quieter time and place.

Our hosts, Jan and Bruce, were superb and the Carriage House was perfect for our family. What a lucky find! It was a home away from home. Plenty of room, very clean and so scenic with the surrounding farmlands. We had a wonderful time in this quiet, friendly town where Amish and Mennonite families are your neighbors. Can't beat seeing and hearing the horse and buggies pass by while relaxing on the deck. All the sites are a drive away through the breathtaking landscapes. Go out for the day and come back to relaxation and hospitality. We highly recommend the Artist's Inn!!

Elegant charm combined with genuine hospitality provided a memorable
comfortable weekend in a rural Pa Dutch town. A four course gourmet
breakfast made our stay most enjoyable. Whimsical art provide the artist'w room
with noteworthy character.
A great find.

My grandmother (country lady from Georgia) died at the age of 88. This bed & breakfast with white door knobs, wood floors, lamp/window shades, antique chairs, and quilts on the beds all reminded me of her. She and my soulmate, Greg, never had the chance to meet. The experience of this wonderful "home" felt as if I introduced him to her. Also, we reside and work in metro Washington, DC. The Artist Inn provided ULTIMATE relaxation. Valentine's weekend 2009 was awesome!! -Julie

This was our first stay at a B&B and it was wonderful. Jan and Bruce were wonderful. The cookies were the best and Bruce's Art work was unbelieveable. I bought a piece of his art to help me remember our great stay there. The breakfast was very good nothing like I had ever had before. We stayed in the Rose Room and it was everything we had hoped it would be. I surprised my Husband with the Romance Basket and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to add a little something special to your night. We will be returning!

Jan and Bruce, Thank you for ALL your help with directions and information on the area. We truly enjoyed talking with you. I feel like we have made friends for a lifetime!
