Great place to stay when traveling into the Allegheny National Forest. This place is clean, has everything you need for an overnight or two stay. The owners take care of the rooms and quickly respond to any needs or concerns. The price is right for this comfy spot.

Room Tip: Rooms have a one-piece stove, refrigerator, sink and a wonderful front porch with a porch swing.

My husband and I, along with our pup, stayed here for one night last summer. We got rained out of our canoeing/camping anniversary trip and happened to find this gem. Luckily, there was one room left waiting for us! It was very clean, comfortable and most importantly dry! The owner was very nice and welcoming, inviting us to join the evening campfire if the rain let up. It was a great night away, in a beautiful town. Thank you!

Just love this place. Has all the conveniences you need to have a great stay, just bring your clothes, food and you will have a great time. Staff is fantastic, it's clean. Centrally located to all attractions. Have stayed there quite often with my boyfriend and also bring my family to stay on numerous occasions. I love the porch swing on summer nights.

We had planned a weekend up in to the area last minute and the cabin that we typically rent was already in use so we had to find alternative plans. The Eagle Rock was already booked so we were able to get the last two rooms at the Mid Town. The rooms are dated however they are very clean. We stayed in two of the smaller rooms at $47 a night which is a great deal. The motel is very close to the light house which has a great walking trail along the river. The owners were very nice. Our rooms had a microwave and a fridge as well as a small tv. The walls must be pretty sound proof, our friends in the next room said that they were singing very loudly early in the a.m. and we never heard them. lol

We stayed in a suite with another couple. Living room a little small but definitely adequate, couch in great shape and clean. Microwave, utensils/dinnerware, toaster, coffee maker, 4 burner gas stove top, nice size fridge fit under counter and the freezer in it actually worked. Everything very clean, stayed 3 nights and housekeeping was great, fresh towels every day. Half wall in bedroom gave more privacy that it looked like it would in the pictures. Two TV's. Pillows were flat but personally I prefer flat pillows (matter of personal preference). Rooms smelled great but if you didn't like the air freshener, you could unplug them. GREAT price at $72/night for the four of us.

The place is great. You can sit on the porch and enjoy the town. Very interesting town. Amish with there horses. A very old lady driving a Hummer. The Motel is old and so are the kitchenettes. But the place was clean and the prices are great. I think we spent $45.00 a night. If you are on a budget and want to take your family, a great place. There are multiple rooms and a front porch. It is close to all the great outdoors Tionesta has to offer. It was interesting that the stove and refrigerator were all one unit. Where else can you take a family on vacation for $45.00 a night and everyone can spread out. And it was clean. If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton, this part of the country is not for you. If you are an outdoor person, this is it. I will be back again and again. The staff is friendly and you have off street parking.

The Midtown Motel is located on the main street in Tionesta, PA. Tionesta is a small, quaint town nestled in the mountains, located directly on the Allegheny River. It is the type of place that time didn't touch, the people are friendly, the air is fresh and clean, and you're surrounded by nature.
The motel is a small motel; it has 4 buildings- one is located direcly behind the office/owners home, and has basic motel rooms. Next to it, seperated by a small alley, are 2 more buildings, which contain their efficiencies- the efficiencies have a small living room with love seat, stove top, fridge, and microwave, and a seperate bedroom with 2 large beds. Across the street are their suites, which have more of a full kitchen (but no oven), living room, and bedroom (2 beds, seperated by a hald partition wall). Both the efficencies and suites have enormous front porches with nice porch swings- the rooms are always very, very clean, and I think the owners just might be some of the nicest people I have ever met. Any time I have stayed there, they give me a dog treat to give to my dog, a small, yet nice touch. You're certainly safe in this town, for check out, you simply leave your key in your room and leave the door unlocked. For a small, mom and pop motel located in such a nice little town, this is a really nice place to stay. Don't forget to check out T&K Dinor for breakfast, and City Pizza has excellent, home made pizza, with hand tossed dough- everythign made from scratch. I love the Midtown Motel!

Room Tip: get an efficiency in the building facing Elm Street- you get an excellent view of the river from the...
