Well let me tell you this is NOT the place to stay for many reasons. My husband won an overnite stay in a golf tounament. He suggested I take our 3 grandaughters there for an overnite for their birthdays since this motel has a pool. They are 8 and 11. We booked it 3-4 weeks ahead. When we arrived the receptionist kept her head down. I spoke first . She responded by asking our name. Then she said, "Oh yeah, you're the one with the coupon". We went to our room, The lighting was very poor and the already dim entry light in the room kept flickering when on. None of us could read in the room due to poor lighting. We asked for more linens as there were 4 of us booked and only linens for 3 and 2 washcloths. We asked the recepitionist if there was a soda machine for us to purchase bottled water. She said "Yeah on the second floor" Dont know if it has water". There was a cooler in the lobby with a varity of beer but no soda machine. The pool was pleasant however the smell of chlorine was very strong . Another person sitting there mentioned the strong chlorine smell as well. The very well worn furniture had bad dings and nicks. The bedding very shabby and old. We tried to make it a fun time in spite of all the negatives.

Room Tip: Try to find another place to stay.

Hotel is supposed to be 100% non-smoking but the room that I was originally assigned to had a strong smoke odor. Hotel is full of gas drilling workers during the week and there was mud and dirt in the hallways. On a positive note, the Bonanza next door was a good value for dinner.

We pulled into this Comfort Inn around 7 PM last Thursday night after riding for a while in the rain on our motorcycles. We were informed that they had no rooms available. We asked if there were any other motels/hotels in town and were told that the only other options were bed and breakfasts. We were directed to drive another 15 or 30 minutes (desk clerk didn't know for sure) to the next town to get a room. On our way, we noticed another motel that had a vacancy sign so stopped in and sure enough, they had rooms available and in fact, the Comfort Inn clerk had called them earlier to ask if they had rooms available. Upon leaving the next morning, we passed a huge Best Western on the edge of town. What the heck? Why did the clerk not direct us to another motel? Did she really not have rooms available or do they just not like Bikers? Left us wondering...

This hotel was way over priced for a Comfort Inn!! Normal price range should be $89. They wanted to charge $149 and would not honor military discount. Luckily, they did honor AAA discount. However, the bathroom sink was stopped up, the fan in the bathroom did not work, the shower was too small (they could use the curved shower rod to make it more roomy), the shower head felt like pellets hitting your body and stinging your body and nipples, it was too dark in the main room, the window was cracked, and it smelled like smoke on the floor. Sucks that there is no other hotel in the area. If they build a Hampton Inn, there would be major competition.

I have a hard time believing the negative reviews for this property. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and found it to be very large, clean, and convenient to eateries, shopping, etc. There are numerous places to eat within walking distance. The indoor pool is nice and the water is very warm! This is the only major hotel in the area. I will add that this hotel appears to be heavily used by the local workers in the area, who get up very early in the morning. We traveled with our 7 year old and someone on the floor below complained about the noise at 8:00 PM. That was weird.

p.s. The free breakfast was very good as well.

Hope this helps.

This place is a dump! We were there to attend a wedding and they didn't have OUR room ready and so they suggested we change in the "locker room." It was as hot as a sauna! Before we even stepped outside in the sun we were drenched.
We attended the festivities and returned to check-in, "our" room was ready but it had two double beds...
The bath towels weren't even close to a white color, they were a disgusting beige color, so we used the hand towels, which were sort of a white-ish color.
There was mold and a couple of hairs in the tub, I could go on but I think you have the idea. It is a shame, because I have stayed in some very nicely run Choice Hotels. Do yourself a favor, stay elsewhere. $120.00 a night, you should be ashamed....

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.

I had stayed here a few years ago and was satisfied with it. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. The shower had mold growing around the edges and when I turned on the light, there was a roach on the counter. I also stayed on the third floor. The room had a non-smoking sign on the door, but it smelled like a smoking room. I would not recommend staying here.
