Want something different? Don't hesitate to try A Taste of Britain. Here they take their tea seriously - many selections can be had including black teas, white teas, green teas, and herbal teas as well as seasonal offerings. But this is also a fun place to have a lunch with enough choices to make it difficult to decide. They have a soup of the day, a frittata of the day as well as salads and sandwiches and hot, homey items like pot pies. I've been here many occasions but this is the first time I did their "High Tea" which included their tea sandwich selection of the day (I could have eaten dozens of the turkey/cranberry, a seasonal goodie!), your choice of scone and some absolutely delightful pastries all featured on a three tier server along with a pot of tea. The dining room is cozy and always crowded - a reservation is really a must unless you are prepared to be disappointed. And you can purchase tea and other British goodies to take home. If you are someone that is an Anglophile, or enjoys tea or if you want a ladies' lunch you should consider this charming establishment as something you must do when in the area.

Service was good, sandwiches were great. Scones were very dry, that was disappointing. Very nice atmosphere, very noisy, Went with a group for lunch and we were not rushed at all even though there were ladies waiting for a table.

As a Brit living part-time in the US it's a breath of fresh air to find a place that does 'proper' English tea rather than the watery Liptons you are usually served here. Lovely little restaurant/tea house, decorated in British style with chairs and tables rather than squishy sofas you can't get up from and a good range of British goods (albeit rather expensive!). Lunch was good and the scones delicious - again true British scones rather than the biscuity American effort. Tea arrives in teapots and hot water offered as and when. Excellent! And fresh milk. Great to see it full at lunchtime. I hope it continues to do well.

Stopped by with a friend for "tea for two." It was crowded so make a reservation. The tea was served properly; loose leaf, strainer, china pot, cup, saucer, the works! It was excellent and the service was good. So, why not 5 stars? It was uncomfortable. I think tea houses should have at least a few cozy chairs and seating areas. This was set up like a cafe. And while I appreciate GF options, mine was really dry. The presentation was wonderful but the tea sandwiches and pastries were average at best. I will certainly give it another try. Note, the location could be difficult to find, tucked away in a pricey main line strip mall.

As a regular diner at this restaurant it is a delight to rate it as my all time favorite place to have a lunch date with a friend or family member. This is a delightful tea house with british inspired foods and drinks. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious as well as creative. You will not find a better house salad (or house vinaigrette to go with it) anywhere! And then there are the desserts! Dainty, light and always pleasant and yummy! Great job to all members of this restaurant for their amazing work. I strongly recommend this spot for any one who desires the ultimate in great food and a lovely and pleasant lunch experience. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
