“Wondeful Bed & Breakfast!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

We originally reserved a room for two nights, we had to change rooms but were able to stay a third night. Both rooms, the Captain's Room and Wilderness were beautifully decorated. The other rooms Margret showed us were nicely decorated too. Their dog, Sunny, was also fun. The breakfasts were excellent, filling, but not stuffing. Both Dave and Margret are fun to talk with and a wonderful couple. Burgundy Lane is a little of 30 minutes from Gettysburg, but a beautiful drive, which coincides with the retreat of the Confederate wagon train from Gettysburg. We highly recommend Burgundy Lane to you and will return there, Lord willing.

Room Tip: If you need twin beds for some reason, that is available on the first floor. Nicely decorated too!

Burgundy Lane really surpassed our expectations. Our plan was to visit Gettysburg and we found that places to stay in and around Gettysburg were quite expensive. We came upon Burgundy Lane which was much more affordable and about a half hour's easy drive to Gettysburg (and it actually gives you a chance to see the beautiful countryside there!) We were pleasantly surprised! What a comfortable, clean and adorable place! Dave and Margaret have done a great job with this place. Each room has a unique theme and the attention to detail is impressive! They are such friendly and warm people and it's obvious that the comfort and satisfaction of their guests is of utmost importance to them. And their little dog "Sunny" was so friendly and precious and always there to greet you. He was like the topping on the cake. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and homey place to stay.

Our hosts Dave and Margaret were very approachable, fun to talk with, and attentive to detail. The key ring we got was a cute little touch as well. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite because it has a big whirlpool tub and our key ring was an oversized engagement ring.

The building is an older Victorian style building and the moldings, flooring, and many of the fixtures were kept as original as possible. I really like that fact. However there were fully modernized bathrooms, flat screen televisions, great showers with plentiful hot water, and comfortable bed/pillows. The hosts paid excellent attention to detail as they restored and put their personal touches to the rooms. The wallpaper, paint and all other parts were neat and pleasing to the eye. The desks in the room show their antiquity. However, that played to the charm of the rooms. The glass above the doors was hand decorated by Margaret one of the hosts and was tasteful and pleasing. A sight more appealing than the original flat panel of glass that was present originally. I can only speak to our room but the wall behind the desk and bed had a strip of outlets with an outlet roughly every foot or so. There is plenty of room for your electronic devices. I had brought a power strip but had enough outlets to plug in my laptop, extra monitor, two cell phone chargers, and never had to unplug the radio and two lamps that are nearby. The Wi-Fi was more than adequate I was getting roughly 5-6 mbps down and 2.5 – 3 up. That’s more than enough for your web browsing needs.
I am a man who likes to eat. However, I was not left wanting after the breakfast. Each morning you came down to a muffin, wine glass or martini glass filled with sweetened strawberries, OJ, water, and coffee. The 11th was cheesy hash browns, scrambled eggs, thick and tasty bacon. The 12th was French toast and sausage. The 13th was what I call an everything omelet with ham and veggies covered in a mix of cheeses. It just melted in your mouth and stuck to your gut. The dishes were presented with a nice garnish and the presentation was simple elegance.

We will definitely stay again as we travel through or to the area. On a side note we often forgot to tell them when we wanted breakfast. I called twice after ten o'clock and the hosts were gracious when answering the phone and happy to help. Though I would recommend to try and do that earlier than ten.

Room Tip: This is a small owner run B&B be prepared to pay up front. I had no problem with this as I under...

This was our second visit to Burgundy Lane B&B. It is a great place to stay. The host and hostess (David and Margaret) are welcoming and personable. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast spectacular. It was hard to leave! We intend to come back again and explore the town which is filled with interesting shops.

Room Tip: There is one room with twin beds that is not advertised on the website, if this is a better choice...

Spent two nights at Burgundy Lane in Waynesboro when we came down for a family wedding. Everything about this B & B is excellent. It's in a beautiful old Victorian house, very comfortable and warm. Hosts David and Margaret are welcoming and friendly. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed comfortable, and we had restful, quiet nights. Breakfasts were amazing. We didn't have to eat lunch for two days running! We'll definitely stay here again if visiting family in Waynesboro.

A nice Victorian home on Main St with warm and interesting hosts who made sure our visit was enjoyable. David shared a bit about Waynesboro- getting ready for the Christmas tree lighting and coming parade. Margaret made wonderful breakfasts. We stayed in the Wilderness room and peeked at the other themed rooms. It was an easy drive to our Gettysburg destination (23 miles) but hope to go back and sight-see more in that area. they have a friendly dog, Sunny.

Room Tip: Rooms on second floor with one on the first. Check out the different themes-such as wilderness, cast...

Our first stay in a bed and breakfast. My wife was apprehensive at first but it worked out very well. They are located on Main St and very close to downtown. All the rooms are upstairs in a very nice Victorian home. Margaret and David are great hosts and the breakfasts are excellent. Each room is decorated in a different theme, and all have private full baths. We will certainly be back to stay with them again !
