This is a very quiet wonderful place. Nancy and Ron are FANTASTIC. SO accomadating! I can't say enough good things about them!! Wonderful people. They are so knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The breakfast they served was really really good. Very close to the entrance to parks.

Perfect place for my wife and I to spend the weekend, Ron and Nancy were absolutely the best, the room was clean, the beds were comfy and the place was quiet. Breakfast was tasty and priced very reasonable. Convenient to the Pa Grand Canyon. If per chance we should go again we will stay here.

3 families=6 adults & 6 teenagers, thought this place was great! We only stayed one night, but felt very welcome and comfortable. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Nancy's hospitality was outstanding!

Tosha,
Thank you for your kind review. Our area has a lot to offer groups like yours that enjoy the outdoors, bike riding, hiking and the paddleboats. The teenagers in your group were all very polite and well mannered, must be their upbringing. Thanks again and come back anytime.

In September of 2013 I stayed here for 3 nights. It was a very enjoyable stay. It was my first solo trip after the end of an 18 yr marriage. The room was nice and clean and quiet. I hiked the surrounding area a lot of time I was there so it was really great to have a nice quiet place to come back to at night. The owners were so very nice and Nancy was full of information on anything I had questions about, which was a lot of things. It was also great to have breakfast served right on the premises. And breakfast was Good! Very good! A great start to some beautiful hikes in the surrounding PA Grand Canyon. The Motel has a great location, very convenient to the 2 local parks and the canyon and not too far from Wellsboro either. It was just what I needed. Thank you so much.

We stayed here for only night, but really enjoyed this motel. Loved the "mom and pop" feel. They made you welcome and met you with a smile. The room was homey - clean and comfortable. Loved the homemade breakfast served in their dining room. The prices were reasonable and we would definitely stay here again if in the area. The pond in the back of the property was pretty too. Thanks for the great stay.

We stayed here two nights. It was in a great location, real close to the Gand Canyon of Pennsylvania. Breakfast is served, good food and great conversation. Nancy greeted us when we checked in and then it was like talking to one of your friends, hugs and all, very helpful with directions and information. Room was clean and comfy, frig and microwave in room. There is a pond in the back to fish, doesn't seem to like trout fisherman though, lol. Paddle boats are there for your use along with horseshoes, volley ball, fire pits and a small beach area. We will definitely stay here again.

Eileen, As always, we are thankful for our customers who take the time to review our motel. We try to make a stay at CPM, affordable and fun, even if there are only 2 fish in the pond. We will see what we can do to increase the population! We look forward to seeing you again.

I reserved a room for two nights at the Colton Point Motel about a week before our visit. A queen bed was not available at the time of booking, so I opted for a room with 2 double beds. After an almost 4 hour drive, we arrived a bit tired on Friday, September 27th, around 9:30pm. We received a warm welcome from Ron, the owner and after giving us some information about activities my wife and I were interested in, he saw to it that we found our room. Aside from having a line-up of rooms in typical motel style fashion, there were also rooms in a house, which adjoins and is behind the motel building. Our room was in the house on the first floor. It was quiet and had a view of the lake. The room was simple, spacious and clean. (No card swiping to open the door here. Just a good old fashioned key) A small refrigerator, and a flat screen television were part of the accommodations, along with all the toiletries and towels needed. One thing not in the room is a hair dryer, so bring your own if you’re not into letting your hair air-dry like I am. (There’s not much left to dry these days). My wife read up on the place beforehand, so she knew to bring this item along. I would suggest that when booking a room, ask about its location. We noticed that there was a room that was in the lower level of the house. My wife and I would have been very disappointed had we been assigned to that room. Based on what we experienced here though, we’re sure that the owners would make their customers aware of things such as this.

The motel property, although showing signs of aging, was in good condition. The grounds are well kept and the small lake on the property is a nice amenity where you could go fishing on a catch and release basis. Private property so no license is required. I took advantage of this feature, caught a small mouth bass and just had a blast for an hour or so.

The facility has a dining area where the staff serves breakfast in the morning. Their menu has all the basic breakfast entrees one would expect to find and we thought their prices were very, very reasonable. We had breakfast the both mornings that we were there. The omelets, pancakes and sausage were tasty, filled us up and gave us a great start to our days of hiking.

We read about the Colton Point Motel before deciding to stay there so we had a good idea of what to expect. We saw that it would be a very simple, quiet and pleasant place to stay in a country setting and that’s what we were looking for. The Colton Point Motel met and exceeded our expectations making our experience an excellent one.
