“Clean but very dated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

Stayed there while in the Poconos to play paintball. Definitely the lowest quality in the area among the several places I've stayed, but also the cheapest. An example of "you get what you pay for", but the room was clean, the King bed was standard, the kitchenette worked, the bathroom was small but clean and functional. The little things were: Cable for TV in living room didn't work, but I just used the set in the bedroom; what appeared to be cabinet doors under the bed were odd-looking, evidence of ongoing work outside. Did not try breakfast nor wifi (used my phone's hotspot).

I'll start with the good. The place was cheap for the type of room you get. However it was very poorly kept. Wifi is free but usually not working or poor signal. Breakfast was terrible, including an instance I saw the attendant drop something on the floor and then pick it up, look around, and put it back on the shelf as well as an instance when I saw a chipmunk running around the breakfast room. To sum it all up, my experience there was poor and disgusting at almost every turn.

We visit quite a few places in the Poconos. When we are in a pinch, we stayed there. It is the cheapest around. The old furniture has to go. I was very upset with the bed which is 2 beds put together and very uncomfortable. The sheets did not fit the mattress which meant we had to continually get up in the night to fix them because we were sleeping on a bare mattress. Its ok for families because of the ample room and kitchen area. Its ok for those trying to save money. Its not ok for eveything else. The deck area is huge but looks like it hasnt been vacuumed in years and there are no chairs outside the rooms. Deck plastic chairs are very cheap so they should upgrade and add new furniture. Whats the sense in having a large deck area if you have no chairs to enjoy the mountain breeze??? I was definately not happy with the beds!!! Also rugs need to be cleaned as well.

We stayed there for Memorial day weekend and our room smelled really bad even the air freshner didnt help at all. The rooms are very outdated and the kitchen they have most of the appliances doesnt even work. At night we saw a big bear near the garbage area and it comes for food..I was panicked and we will never stay here again....bear can be a danger to your life so stay away at all cost

We stayed for one night in Mid May, very reasonable rate. The rooms are large one bedroom with living room and kitchenette. Its an older motel but kept clean, its family run and everyone is very friendly. The location is great, close to Jack Frost and Lake Harmony.

I checked into this motel on 2/16 because I was skiing at Jack Frost the next day. The selection of hotels in the area was limited and the mid-range hotels nearby (Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, etc) were charging high prices due to the holiday weekend.

I paid $65 for one night, which I considered to be a bargain at the time. I have stayed at many lower-end hotels, and I did not come in expecting much. We checked in around 11pm at night and promptly went to our room. When we entered, the thermostat registered 58 degrees. I set the heat to an appropriate temperature and the system only blew out cold air. The issue persisted in the second room we switched to. We finally switched to a third room, which also had no heat, but we decided to stay put due to the fact that it was midnight and we needed a good night's rest. I resorted to using the electric stove to heat the room, which was not ideal.

Apart from the heat issue, the room wasn't very clean and in poor repair. There were also two major safety concerns - in the third room, the chain door lock was broken and the smoke detectors were disconnected.

On the plus size, the rooms were very large and all had full kitchens. A family of four could easily fit into one of the suites. If this motel were cleaner and did not have the issues described above, I would gladly recommend it to any budget-conscious traveler.

The hotel is a bit run down but clean, very close to Jack Frost ski area. The people at the front desk were very friendly. We had a good size one bedroom suite, comfortable for our family of six. It was nice to have the kitchenette area although nothing is provided except for the stove, fridge and microwave. You have to bring plates, cups, silverware, any pots/pans for cooking.
