I've only been here for lunch, so perhaps the dinner menu is better. However, the food has been inconsistent, ranging from absolutely terrible to terrific. When it's good, it's great. But on many occasions, I feel like the chef is being lazy and they let stuff sit out - the meat gets tough, the fried items get soggy, etc.

I've been to Taste India twice now, once for their lunch buffet, which was wonderful, and once for dinner. Both times to food was excellent, and even when I came in for dinner and the one waiter who was working was slammed with many tables, he always managed to be very friendly and do a good job under the circumstances. The restaurant is where a 7-11 used be so the interior is a little strange. The lunch buffet had a great selection and was very nicely presented with many extra sauces and chutneys. I had the feeling the food had been made fresh for the buffet instead of being some frankenstein creation of leftovers thrown together to fill the buffet. The food both times was so well balanced and flavorful. There always seems to be a mediocre Indian meal to be had, but this one stood out as one of the better ones I've ever had. Worth a trip.
