We stayed at the new Courtyard this past weekend. I would not hesitate to stay at this location again.
I didn't realize that it had only opened a week before our stay. So, of course, it is clean, modern and well appointed.
The staff were all very friendly and professional.
The king room was very spacious and comfortable. Good overall storage. There are many outlets – electrical and usb – even on both bedside tables. The bed was pretty comfortable – just a tad on the firm side. A/C worked well and was very quiet. The mini fridge was hidden in the upper cabinet. This was easier to access than if the fridge had been stored on the floor.
I really liked the shower – good pressure, nice design (controls were out of the way of the shower head). The cubby near the shower was very convenient. Towels and linens were of high quality (helps that the hotel is so new).
Convenient to a huge amount of restaurants.
Wi-fi is free and reliable. Parking was plentiful. Coffee maker in the room.
They even have a fire pit in the back of the hotel. We did not have time to take advantage of this, but, it looked very cozy and inviting!
There is also a fitness area, indoor pool, and bistro in the lobby. We did not use these, so can't comment on quality.
Cons (didn't really detract from our stay) – some minor design flaws.
~ Bathroom door opened up right into the toilet. The cushion “headboard”/backrest was very noisy if you left it in place for sleeping. We actually tossed them on the couch for better rest.
~ We could hear water running in the pipes from the upper floors through the wall. A room on a higher floor would probably help with that (we were on the second floor).
~ The hairdryer was REALLY loud.
~ The elevator makes a double tone every time it opens on your floor. I was able to hear during the night in our room. I think the volume of that tone could be lower.
~ Only one bedside table had a drawer/storage. This seemed a bit odd. The tables themselves were a tad narrow – but, large enough.
