The owner has set out to offer a moderate hotel accommodation with excellent service and well cared for and updated rooms. He has succeeded. Mr. Genetti is a town father of long standing and proud of his hotel and his town. Parks and other town features are named for him.
I lead small groups twice a year from Virginia to Vermont with a Sunday night stop at this Hotel - been doing it for a dozen years or more and we are always pleased with our choice. Many participants enjoy their first visit to Genetti's and their uniform comment is how did you find this out of the way very nice place. The answer is trial and error -- our group has stayed at many other places nearby.
The included full hot breakfast is well prepared and includes much variety - far superior to most chains.
The lobby has not been updated for sometime and looks a bit shop worn. This is in contracts to the spiffy and recently updated rooms. The recently updated elevators were long overdue.
You will need to be persistent in finding the place as it is a good distance from the Interstate and requires several turns. This hotel is located in the older town center near a park and a number of office buildings.More
