“Great tour”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

An excellent tour, whether or not you are a motorcycle buff. The technology and advanced systems in the factory are amazing and provide a great view of what modern manufacturing in the US is like.

“Interesting but bring earplugs!”
Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

My husband and I did the tour today, and splurged on the "steel boot tour", which is $35 per person. For bikers like us, it's an interesting view into the factory and how Harleys are made. If you are into motorcycles and mechanics, it's a fun tour. Here are a few tips: wear steel toed boots if you have them. They offer steel shoe covers at the tour, but they didnt look very comfortable. However, I didn't wear them so I don't know for sure. There are lockers right outside of the store, so lock up your big bags and coats, because you will be walking around for at least an hour and a half. Spend the $.25 and save yourself some aggravation. Very important tip: be sure to bring earplugs. They provide you with amplification of what the docent says but it is still a factory and therefore super loud. One beef I had was that they didn't tell you ahead of time. During the tour we saw lots of signs that hearing protection was required, but they didn't give us any. Halfway through the tour, I saw a box of earplugs and stole a pair for my husband and me. We each wore one earplug, in the ear without the amplifier, and it was a huge help. Have fun!

“American made at its best”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

It was great to see the different stages a bike undertakes before it hits the road. The tour was great and the workers we interacted with were more then happy to take their time to talk with us. A great sense of pride in the way the factory is maintained, what they build there and the work that is performed by the workers. Good stuff, keep it up!

“September Open House and Factory tour.”
Reviewed 6 February 2014

The ride alone from Ottawa to York was very enjoyable. We made it a 2 day trip with a stop in Hershey PA. Hmmmm chocolate! in York, the whole town seems to be in a party mood as thousands flock in from everywhere. They close downtown for bike events on the Saturday night. Doesn't last long, so get there early. The factory is nothing short of spectacular and employees were great. On the HD ground, many dealers had tents and specials. One thing I would suggest or like to see are better prices in the HD store for that weekend... Regardless, accomodations were easy to find, the ride was great and good times were had by all.

“SENSORY OVERLOAD”
Reviewed 3 February 2014 via mobile

Met our friends for a factory tour that was full of eye candy. Robotics, assembly lines, sparks flying everywhere and the best of all.... RUMBLING engines. Great tour and informative guides.
