We have stayed at this hotel two other times, and everything went smoothly. The only complaint I had about this stay was that the TV has static in it, and was showing analog on the TV.

We checked around 11pm and ask to be put in a quite area, so the front desk person put us on the 3rd floor. We order their breakfast service by filling out the slip and putting it on the door before we went to bed. Room service brought the food in the time frame noted on the slip. I ask for frosted flakes, but got Raisin Bran, but since I eat both, it wasn't a big deal. Check out receipt was under our door when we woke, but didn't include the breakfast service, so I guess that will be billed later.

The location is tucked away, a little hard to see from the road, but I grew up in the area, so I knew where it was.

Your average business class overnight hotel. Front desk is very accomodating, but the retaurant needs to get their act together. Ordered room service and got a call when the food was due rto arrive advising the restaurant does not even serve the meal I ordered, even though it was listed on their menu!

I don't mind paying $ 100 a night for a room, but I have expectations of quality when I do. Four points is a gyp joint. Want a refrigerator? Sure, $ 10 a night and its yours. They advertise free bottled water. Want a second bottle? No problem, pony up $ 1.59. Want a courtesy cup of coffe in the lobby. Forget about it. We stayed four nights. On two separate days, housekeepers left our door ajar with my laptop, mp3, and other valuables in the room. One day, they didn't even clean the room until almost 6:00 pm. Hallways are filthy. Stay away from Four Points.

Large spacious hotel with many amenities made my trip better. Nothing elegant about this place, but it's cheap, safe, quiet and has large rooms. I'd stay there again, yes. Sorry I did the gut-buster breakfast, but it was tasty and the coffee was good; the price was reasonable. I did NOT like the bright light shining all night in my window; I had to pull the shade down.

I chose this property as it was very convenient to where I had to work in York and I am a SPG Plat.

Refurbished older hotel, bed comfort is no where near a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper. The pillows here are Very Thin, so plan on requesting additional pillows when you get to the room. Free Wifi, small bathrooms, decent size rooms, but can be noisy as it seems traveling high school sports team stay here frequently in the summer and weekends.

Staff is friendly and courteous.

Probably the best mid-range class hotel you'll find in York. Rooms are well kept and comfortable. Pool area is nice (indoor) and pretty big. Sauna is good. Staff is very friendly/polite. Parking lot is well-lit. Nice lobby area, good proximity to the expressways. Only complaint is about the $3 per juice at breakfast....not cool. Avoid rooms near the pool/gym as there is a lot of hallway noise. WiFi signal was quite weak. Otherwise, good deal.

This was our first stay at the Four Points by Sheraton in York, PA After spending several days there, we couldn't decide if this was a good hotel on its way down or one that had been struggling and was now on its way back up....
Our check-in experience was quick, smooth and pleasant.
Our first surprise came when we discovered that the hotel luggage carts just barely fit into the elevators. Took some skillful maneuvering to get a fully-loaded cart onto the elevator in a way that left room for more than one person to ride up with it. The maneuvering room getting off the elevators on the upper levels was also very tight.
The layout of our room was nice, with an entry-way like area just inside the door, providing acess to the bathroom, a medium-sized closet, and a space for a luggage stand; the main room itself was beyond, with the bed, an easy chair, and the standard desk and work chair area.
The flat-screen television mounted on the wall above the three-drawer dresser was a nice touch' the unfilled, untreated holes in the top of the dresser where the old television stand had been attached seemed out of keeping with Sheraton standards.
As we settled in, we discovered that there was no place near the desk to plug in a computer except in an outlet behind the dresser. A separate outlet, across the room and behind the easy chair, had an open receptacle, which we discovered was non-functional. We tried every switch in the room on the off chance it was a switched outlet -- no luck. Then we swapped the plug for the floor lamp from one receptacle to the other, proving to our satisfaction that one half of the outlet was, indeed, not functional.
The bathroom appeared ot have been recently redone, with a modernistic sink and open-fronted, slatted-bottomed vanity that included a built-in towel bar just under the counter. The spigot was a single-knobbed unit that looked very modernistic -- as you opened it, the water went from cold to warm to hot. The only problem was that once you got beyond a trickle of cold water flowing, everything was at full pressure -- in other words, there was no way to get a trickle or even a moderate stream of lukewarm, warm or hot water..... Looks like someone based the re-model more on appearance than practicality of use.... Sure, you expect a Sheraton to be fashionably stylish, but it also would be nice if things operated in a way that made them easy to use in a conventional manner.
Housekeeping also seemed spotty -- on a couple of days, we left a note requesting an extra towel or facecloth be left in the bathroom. Some days we got exactly what we asked for; other times we not only did not get the extra item we requested, we got only one hand towel or face towel for the two of us! Again, not the kind of service you expect from a Sheraton.
it also was a bit disconcerting to find that during our stay of several days, the vending machine for soda/juice/water on our floor was continuously "sold out" no matter what time of day we looked at it; yet the hotel kept it plugged in and running. Seems strange they'd spend the money on electricity and not put any stock in the machine. If they really want guests to buy their refreshments at the small emporium adjacent to the Front Desk, why not just unplug the machine and save the electrical expense? A sign near the front entrance also proudly proclaimed that there was an ATM available in the lobby -- yet it also sported an "out of order" sign for several days in a row.
The towel issue was discussed with the front desk as issues arose. The electrical and water issues were not because there wasn't a ready solution that the Front Desk could supply without redesigning or remodeling the room again....
We did find the hotel location to be very convenient and surprisingly quiet. It's located about the length of a city block off busy US Route 30 near the I-83 interchange. Yet during our stay we never heard traffic noises on what we know were two busy roads. With destinations in both Lancaster and Gettysburg, we found the location to be extremely convenient.
As noted in the beginnng, our stay was a mix of contradictions: a nice, convenient;y-located, quiet room in a hotel bearing the Four Points by Sheraton brand name, but lacking some of the attention-to-detail one usually expects at a Sheraton-branded property.
Nothing was so bad that we wouldn't stay at this property again if we were in the area, but it was disconcerting enough we might evaluate other choices before making the reservation.
