“Date night”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

We have dined here many times and this was the first time I have was disappointed. The drinks were not good and were actually skimpy. I ordered the Antipasto as an app and was disappointed with the four small pices of cheese, two pices of itilian ham, two of salami and two of capocol for $15.00. I ordered the Valdostana for the main course and the chicken actually tasted like it was burnt. It was a wednesday night and not busy, what happened to this good restaurant? Our server Emily was not up to par with the servers of past visit.

“Step up from the Olive Garden”

Food is really nothing to write home about, but the service is almost always good. Drinks are very skimpy and expensive. Not in a big hurry to hurry back.

“Consistently Great”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

Wonderful menu, stellar service and a convenient location in the heart of Garden City, I have patronized Papa Razzi for over two decades. Always good, it recently was purchased and is operated by a larger restaurant group which brought even better service and a slightly tweaked menu to the table. They made something very good into something super without losing the overall touch of the original. A challenging management task well executed.

“Take their time, do it right.”

Great food and very good attentive service. Keep up the good work, guys. I know it's not easy. I used to play ball at the Kent County YMCA with one of the cooks. He's a cracker jack.

“What has happened to this place?????”
Reviewed 18 January 2014

We were regulars at Papa Razzi in Garden City but the restaurant recently changed owners and the results are disappointing. Had a chopped chicken salad that looked like garbage! The chicken had been boiled and was shredded into large pieces, like I would feed to my dog! The salad had a lot of wilted/spoiled pieces. The menu has changed and is not as good or extensive. Instead of quality, elegant food, the dishes seem more like fast food from a chain. Papa Razzi was known for its foccacia and was automatically served to diners. We had to ask for it and our waitress seemed put out when we did. All round bad experience. Too many other places in the area to go to. Skip this place.
