“Tough to rate”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

I reserved a room at quite a distance and was not sure what to expect. The reviews for this place on another site are not kind. Making the reservation was tough. The person on the phone did not have a complete command of English. For $85 this is not a good deal. The room was small, the bed was hard, the towels were small. This might be a good deal in the Providence area but later in the week end I found cheaper better rooms along major highways.
The owners are trying with limited funds but... One suggestion-put a light at the drive-way. At night it is very hard to see. Thankfully the drive-way was very wide. The best thing about this place was being near Bishop Hill Tavern.

We stayed here for two weeks. This motor inn is on a very busy road but far off
the road, the noise is very minimal.
The place is nothing great to look at and could use a paint job outside, BUT,
the room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and clean, a refridgerator, microwave,
and tv that had a very good picture, and free wifi. There were a few spiders on the outside
but they stayed outside! We had plenty of hot water for showers but the
place is "protective" of towels...to get new ones you go to the office with
your used ones and swap them for clean ones, not a big deal. There are lots of restaurants, fast food and family quality nearby, a grocery store, pharmacy, all nearby.
The man we dealt with in the office was SAM, he was very attentive to our questions ... a very friendly family owned inn, reasonably priced, a good value for this area.

This is the first review for this place, so I hope to get it right... It is also the ONLY one of 7 motels/hotels I've stayed at the past 2 months which I had no review info for.. I took a chance... worked out OK, but with mixed feelings... The motel is set off the road [a well traveled route] up a steep wide parking lot style incline; the colors of the building are sort of drab washed out looking earth/yellow/pastels... oh, well, I thought to myself drivng in...
the miniature barren lobby didn't help matters with the heavy smell of cooking permeating the air and the clerk behind a counter long plexiglass shield complete with opening tray to exchange money/keys, etc. The clerk was polite and friendly, though.
A bit leery to see what awaited me, I was most pleasantly surprised to find a very attractive room with lavendar wallboard and some sort of decorative design; dark brown bedposts and wallboard trim, along with a richly colored bedspread of brown, beige, gold, and others colors offered a most pleasing contrast - almost a Rennaissance feel..
definitely, "oh, wow"... Immediately checked for fridge, microwave, bathroom, TV, remote... everything fine BUT .. only 1 channel came in clear and sharp ... and believe me, it was NOT the Disney channel.. ahem... Management came right over and simply pushed a switch on the wall screen, blocking out that channel and putting normal channels on... so, be aware of that feature and its implications...
Overall, the room looked and felt clean, for the most part.. there was a cobweb missed in the bathroom window, and another high up in the main room ceiling. There was some sort of tiny bug on the wall, but its lifespan was quite short.. I was on high alert the rest of the evening just in case, but there was nothing more, except for a winged creature with very long legs and a very skinny translucent body.. it took flight once or twice, and I was all set to dispatch it to insect heaven, but it took a wiser course of action and vanished somewhere for the rest of the night.' This sounds worse than it was.. hey, its summertime in a semi-rural area.. stuff happens.
I didn't notice a soda machine, although maybe there is since there was ice in the lobby, but you have a fridge, anyways; parking just a few feet from your room. Plenty of fast food, do-nut shops, convenient stores nearby; definitely a motor inn, not a street walk-up place... All in all, reasonably affordable and good for a one-night layover.
