We stayed just one night in November at the hotel, and were perfectly happy with the room although as others have said, it is small. But it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing that annoyed my husband and woke him up several times was the heating system which kicked on and blew cold air on him -- the unit was right next to the bed and though we turned the heat down to 63 at night and it was a chilly evening, the cold air still went on all through the night. However, it didn't disturb me that much and overall, this was a nice place to stay and the bar prices were reasonable too.

Room Tip: We had a standard queen room with no view on the second floor, but it was worth the cheaper price.

Our family stayed in this hotel recently because everything else around was booked. We would strongly agree with the comments about room size - we have never stayed in a smaller room, although there are larger rooms in the building. (We were in the older building.) The bathroom was absolutely tiny, although redone very nicely with granite; could use waaay more hooks for towels (only one rack) and shelves for toiletries. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good because it was directly across street from a beach and just minutes from the shopping district. Was surprisingly quiet in the hallways.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite. It was a bit pricey but having the extra bedroom and bathroom gave our party of 5 the extra space we needed. We travel to Newport often and this is one of our favorite places to stay. It is a nice location, within walking distances to the Cliff Walk, also with it's own parking. We will definitely be back again.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the two bedroom suite if you can. The extra room and bathroom are really worth it. It is pricey but you will be happy to have the room if there are over 4 people in your party.

We stayed in the main building our room was on the 4th floor. The room was clean but small for the price we paid for no ocean view.

We booked here bc I ran the marathon that started at the beach so it was convenient but next time I will book at one of the cheaper hotels next door 100 bucks less a night.

Would have given it 3 dots, but the price was way to high for the value received. Large rooms well appointed, and nice look overall in the new building, but extremely cheap construction, won't age well. Very noisy property from road and neighboring rooms. Not very clean and very expensive for the quality. Pictures on the website are deceiving to say the least. Would not go back ! The second night, we stayed in the "historic" building, better value, but same comments as above, the rooms are smaller but so is the price...
