We stayed here one night in August 2013 while visiting Newport & Bristol. It was not as nice as other Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed at. There was an indoor pool with Jacuzzi that was actually green. You could see footprints in the bottom of the pool. It was $175 total on a weekday and was going to be $287 for Fri., Sat. or Sun. The room was clean but smelled dirty. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. Somehow this place was sold out in spite of its shortcomings. We choose to stay at a B&B in downtown Newport over the weekend and paid $250 per night for a beautiful room in a beautiful historical house, where we could walk into town (The Sarah Kendall House...check it out).
