We have stayed here 2 times. It's not a 5 start hotel but it's decent for the price. The location is good because it's the last hotel on the strip. We went in June so the nights were still a little chilly so make sure you bring a jacket. The beach is kinda small but if you walk to the end of the hotel pass the rocks you get all that area to yourself. The staff are nice and the room is cleaned up everyday. The restaurant had pretty good food and the bar had decent drinks. There are other places to eat along the beach strip and little shops. It's overall a cute place. I loved the private balcony viewing the ocean! Very relaxing to sit out there. I'll go back for sure for a little getaway.

We went there thinking it was nice based on the website, we had an unpleasant experience, we wrote a letter and they never responded. That was much more concerning than having an unpleasant experience. We were saddened to learn they didn't care what their guests thought.

First, the positives:
great location, beautiful pool, room very clean, including new bathroom, restaurant food quite decent and great for takeout to the pool/room
very fun to walk to local attractions via beach, friendly staff, allaround great!!!!!!!

Now, the "cons": mini-suite was just a small (very) room w/ 2 double beds, but bathroom was nice, new, and clean. No mini-fridge as the website said but OK b/c we brought a cooler w/ milk, etc.........
Also, view of the beach was beautiful, if you got up at 5AM and put a towel on one of the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean so you could come back and sit there at some point during the day. If you didn't do that, you could sit on the grass or sand, I'd suggest bringing a beach chair or towel.
Last weekend we had the remnants of a hurricane, so lots of rocks and seeweed, making the beach not able to be utilized, really, but we just walked down the beach to a spot where the owners had the seaweed raked up. At the price we paid I wished we could have just walked out on our beach and swam, but took till the day we left for the owners to arrange some raking, apparently, still we were pretty close and it was just beautiful.

Overall, loved it very much and will be back next year.

For the price I would expect a bit more, the rooms are c+ decent size, furniture is about 10 years out of date. For half of the price it would be ok, but at 250 or so a night for a non ocean view room its a bit much. The location is great - you can walk right onto the beach and the oceanview rooms look like they have great views. The people here are mostly families. The restaurant is c- Good view, ugly furniture and ambiance - Lame c- food. All of the staff were friendly. The town that it is located in is very nice.

I stayed at the hotel on August 21-23rd. The most important thing that I can say is that you need to know what you're getting when you book here - this is not a Hilton or Marriott (or whatever you deem to be a high quality hotel). This is beach property in a great location, and great for the kids...it is clean, but not high quality or fancy. If you are OK with that and prepared (like we were from reading these reviews), you should enjoy yourself here. There's an outdoor pool that the kids enjoyed (4 ft at the deepest part) - I would recommend that you get there early if you want to reserve a chair (most people came down and put towels on the chairs before the pool offically opened). There is no lifeguard on duty. The beach is right there as well...the easiest way to access it is via a set of 15-20 steps, but you can also walk around the "long way" as we did with my 90 year old grandmother. There is also a tennis court and half-court basketball court next door - while we used it, I'm not sure if we were supposed to! If you walk 1/4 to 1/2 mile down the road, there are some small stores for breakfast, ice cream, dinner, etc. We thought that the restaurant on premises was very good and reasonably priced. We also ate down the street at Maria's, a good Italian restaurant. We found the staff to be very nice overall, particularly the restaurant staff and the lifeguards on the beach. We did NOT like the front desk or housekeeping staff, however - they were not very friendly at all. Check in is at 1pm, which is what we did...when we went to our room, we found that housekeeping was still cleaning our room. The housekeeper gave us attitude (my daughters wanted to change into their bathing suits) and when we went back to the front desk, they said "Check in is at 1pm, but we do not guarantee that the room will be ready." Then why did you give me a key???? Again, Hilton it's not, but if you can get past that...The rooms were relatively small, but clean...certainly expensive for what you are getting, but I think that you are paying for the location. They provide soap and towels, but really nothing else, so be prepared. We stayed in a 1st floor suite facing the pool and really liked it as we had two private balconies - at first I was concerned about noise and foot traffic, but found it to be really convenient when we were at the pool. My mother stayed in a 1st floor ocean view room, which also had its own balcony...very nice. Be aware - the room rate is based on 2 people in the room...I stayed with my 2 daughters (6 and 4)...they tried to charge me an extra $30/night for my 4 year old daughter until I questioned it (my mother had made the reservation, so this was news to me). Overall, because it was clean and in a great location, I would definitely go back....but, again, prepare yourself that this is not a luxurious place. If you're looking to party, look at staying down the street at Andrea's, which seem to be the party place.

We're here in the Inn right now...in our $350/night ocean view room. Lobby, pool.
C and ocean views are impressive, but the room is horrid: smelly, musty, and outdated. Service at the restaurant is deplorable, though food was acceptable. This place has put all it's $ into the “front of the house"--the public spaces only. DEFINITELY not worth $750 for two nights!

We recently stayed at the Pleasant View Inn and really enjoyed it. You can't beat the view of the ocean and if you get a room overlooking the ocean with a small balcony, it is really nice. It rained 2 days and the hotel gave people directions and things to do in the nearby towns. The room was not fancy but very clean and everyone was very nice and helpful. The restaurant there was great for breakfast. We also had drinks and dinner there and it was very good. They also have a nice heated pool outside.
