“Great place and wonderful hosts”

My wife and I had a terrific stay during the middle of the week. Nancy and Tom run a great B&B that is literally two blocks away from the public beach. The room was super clean and met all of our needs. The breakfast was delicious ! Nancy uses fresh eggs from the chickens they own. The cats were cute and one of them new a great trick that Nancy showed us. If ever my wife and I return to this area we would stay here again.

We had a great time at Nancy and Tom's B & B and felt more like friends than paying customers. I must admit that I adore cats and the resident felines only enhanced my experience (as well as the resident chickens, who live in a spacious coop out back). From this great location we had an easy walk to the beach and Nancy gave us great recommendations for places to eat and places to see. We enjoyed every single meal and activity that Nancy suggested. Our room was immaculate, well-furnished with amenities and plenty of linens, reading materials, DVDs, robes, and even a Scrabble game. We had use of a small refrigerator and a microwave. Breakfasts were super--nothing like fresh and I mean fresh eggs. Wonderful pastries, bread, healthy options, and huge variety of coffee and tea from Keurig machine. We live in Las Vegas but fell in love with this beautiful part of Rhode Island. We plan to make staying at Best Kept Secret a regular part of our East Coast travels and have already recommended to family in Connecticut.

A most amazing week in Rhode Island in large part due to our stay with Nancy and Tom. REALLY glad the one ridiculous "negative" review by a crazy person didn't keep us away. (Truly - we figured this out - Crazy Person stood on the toilet, removed the complimentary shampoos, soaps, conditioners, Q-tips, etc. to snap that beauty.)

Wonderful kitty company and the six Henrietta's in the chicken coop out back gave us fresh eggs every morning. Be sure to ask for Senior to perform his morning trick for you.

Just a lovely lovely place to stay. Like another reviewer, we're almost afraid to post this for fear we'll never be able to get in again.

Room Tip: Two rooms here - one with it's own bathroom, one with an adjacent bathroom. Be sure to specify...

Such a pleasant place to spend the night. Just a short drive to the shops and restaurants, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Our room was clean and comfortable... Nancy and Tom were the perfect hosts. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nancy and Tom really made this trip a satisfying blend of exploration and discovery. The days slipped by effortlessly, and the time went way too fast. Could've used many more days to experience this area, and lots more yummy breakfasts!!!

We found Nancy and Tom's B&B to be one of the most comfortable, friendly and welcoming places we have ever stayed. Our room and private bath were exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nancy went out of her way to get our favorite flavors of yogurt to go with the fresh eggs and mushrooms purchased from the local farmers' market. It may not be Alice's Restaurant, but you can probably get anything you want. The B&B is in a quiet neighborhood, only a couple of blocks from Scarborough Beach and a short walk to Black Point which has a path along the ocean. We had morning coffee on the wrap around porch. Pip, a Maine Coon cat who has the softest fur of almost any cat we know, greeted us in his usual affectionate manner. Don't miss Senor Wences performing his trick of opening a can of cat treats as the other cats await their turn at the treasures. We felt as if we were part of the family. All in all, a most pleasant stay--we shall return.

I don't want to write this review because more people will discover this place and then it will be harder to get a reservation. Nice room with a private bath. Breakfast with fresh eggs from the chickens outside. Walk to the free beach.
Attentive and stress-free hospitality. What's not to like? Even the cats roaming around were unobtrusive. Will return without hesitation.
