This is definitely the place for breakfast on this side of town!! Their specials are amazing and their cheese grits are to die for. It looks like a broken down place, but the front is an original diner from the 1940's. Service is great, coffee is good, and the prices are reasonable. Always a line waiting to get in on the weekends.

This diner is a little gem! The atmosphere gives the feeling of an old time diner; great down to earth food for reasonable prices with a very helpful and friendly staff. Try the meatloaf; just like mom used to make. My wife and I have been going there for years and have always had a good experience. Lunch during the week; no waiting. On weekends the line forms early for the excellent gourmet breakfasts.
Try it, you'll love it. Just remember it is a diner not a "Fine Dining Establishment". Go with that in mind and you will have a good time and leave full.

I love going to this old diner. They have plenty of parking and I go there every so often. Ever since the management has changed, I don't know when, the food went from so so edible to fantastic. I had cheese grits, fried eggs with home fries and toast and coffee. My friend had coffee and the Gimmie Jimmie. Service was great but that has always been pretty good.

This diner is a fun experience being in an originally diner car. During the week they have the standard diner menu with a few treats to be found. On the weekend though the standard menu is available, but most people partake in the numerous gourmet breakfasts. You definitely want to go early or be prepared for a wait. Also on the weekend they open a secondary room that was built onto the back of the diner car.

Yes it is cash only. Yes it closes by 2 pm. Yes lines form at 9 am. It also should offer egg whites and ot just eggbeater s. I had passed it many times and wanted to try it. I m just not such a big fan of overstuffed savory or sweet omelet s or trench toast. Fresh fruit cup very good. I think you go once unless you are a local and need to take out. Of town guests. The Providence Pawtucket region has surprisingly good food options in part because of the local culinary school this also is less than ten minutes from Brown. Thayer becomes Hope becomes East just over the Pawtucket line from E Providence.
