I like the Haversham but you have to be prepared for the environment, especially on weekends. It is loud. Really loud and not just in the bar. Our waitress had to yell to take our order and we were in the dining area separate from the bar, although they are adjacent. They remodeled recently to make the bar area larger so you can see what their emphasis is. That said, the food is either decent, good or really good. The soups are great: onion, chowder, bisque, all really, really good. The ribs are tasty, but after ordering them twice, I sense a trend: not meaty. I ordered the lobster risotto the last time I was there and this may sound strange, but there was too much stuff and not enough rice. Risotto is a dish that requires balance in the ingredients: the main starch can't be missing in action. The other's in the party had the ribs (meat lacking yet again), the clams and a lobster roll. The house made chips were crunchy, but heavy on the batter and light on the potato. If they could even out the rough edges, although they have been open long enough to have done that already, they could get a better rating. And look into some sound absorbing furnishing, it is LOUD.
