“A wonderful luxury beach resort experience...it is ALL here!”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

We have stayed at the Ocean House (sister resort) several times, and we have been anxious to try the reopened Weekapaug Inn. I love how it shares the impeccable luxury and service and high standards with their lovely staff , but Weekapaug has its own unique style. It is trying for a more casual style, cooler decorating tones and more options that make it feel almost like you are staying at a friend's...if your friend catered to your every luxury whim! There is no room service menu but you can order a huge tray of 'continental' breakfast, and have anything from the restaurant sent up. We loved the real wood fires in the fireplaces, the beautiful close up view of the pond seen during mealtimes. Dinner was amazing, this chef is really terrific...everything was delicious...and wines by the glass were great. They were VERY dog friendly (not advertised) with one small glitch...we left our 9 pound terrier in the room for dinner and they would not do turn town service as she was not caged. I have no problem with this policy but NO one told us at any point. In any case, our dog was showered with toys and biscuits and bowls. We loved long walks on the beach and will definately return. The room layout works for friends desiring separate beds or families, the lovely one bedroom suites have day beds that make up into king beds. All in all, fantastic.

It’s wonderful to hear that the Weekapaug Inn lived up to the expectations you had! We like to call the experience at the Inn “barefoot elegance” due to its comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, paired with the luxury and service you were familiar with from the Ocean House. We apologize for the confusion regarding your turn down service- the policy not to enter the room with an un-caged dog is both for the safety of our staff as well as your pet. We understand that in a new environment, some dogs may be very anxious or uncomfortable with a stranger entering their space. We look forward to seeing you back soon!

In the world of finer, more luxurious hotels, it becomes increasingly difficult to surprise and delight a well-traveled guest. The Weekapaug Inn surprised and delighted me. Beyond Chef Jen’s incredible cuisine, beyond the warm and welcoming staff (e.g. Grace at the front desk), beyond the beautiful setting and well-appointed rooms, it’s the little things that The Weekapaug Inn does that make such a big impression. For instance, when I folded my bedspread back to the foot of my bed on my first night there (I run hot when I sleep), housekeeping removed it every evening after that. When my group and I asked for a ride to Ocean House for dinner one night, we got more than just a driver, we got a insightful insider of a tour guide. And when I ventured to the pantry early one morning to make a cup of coffee, I pulled a mug off the shelf only to notice that both it and the shelf it was sitting on were both heated. “Of course they’re heated!” I thought to myself, by that point somewhat used to the way in which the folks at the Inn seem to think of everything. The Weekapaug Inn offers the perfect, calming, close-enough-but-still-far-enough-away retreat for people looking to unwind, check out and simply be well cared for. I recommend it highly.

After our flight to Bermuda was cancelled, we decided to move away from our disappointment and regroup at the Weekapaug, and discovered a wonderful respite! At check in, we were offered a glass of sparkling wine, which was a lovely touch. Our room, #52 in the Fenway Suites was perfect. The Fenway Suites are in a separate building from the main inn and are directly over the pool, with the water just beyond that. The room itself is a calm oasis of white and blue, and the water view is mesmerizing. I think when you are paying a premium price for a room, you want to really spend some time enjoying it and this room was so delightful. From the spacious deck with outdoor soaking tub (!) to the well appointed bathroom to the complimentary bar setup, ample closet and dresser space and comfortable bed, every detail was simple yet sublime. Each morning we chose to have breakfast in the room and it was such a special experience. Firstly, being bathed in sunlight and gazing at the water while starting your day is amazing. And speaking of amazing, so is breakfast. Absolutely delicious coffee, (which is available for purchase), luscious croissants and pastries, a petite bowl of oatmeal, a yummy yogurt parfait with fresh berries and granola, and spinach frittata. I just loved the darling little butter dish containing whipped butter and the jam to further embellish the croissant experience. This was such a generous meal we were filled for the whole day. Thank goodness for the stunning beach just a few minutes walk from the inn. Walking on the soft sand that seemed to stretch for miles was a fabulous way to work off breakfast and the water was just so beautiful. The yoga class I took was excellent and the studio is situated so that you also look over the pool to the water beyond. Most restorative indeed! I will look forward to a return visit to this very, very lovely inn.

Our top priority since reopening the Inn a year ago has been to make guests feel a million miles away from the stresses of work and life – even if they’re not that far from home. It is wonderful to hear that you found the Weekapaug Inn to be the perfect place to disconnect and re-energize and I am so pleased you were able to have the vacation you needed without going all the way to Bermuda. We too look forward to your return!

The Weekapaug has been utterly transformed. Once a classic summer resort, with wooden walkways and sandy floors, it is now a beautiful, elegant small hotel in an idyllic seaside setting with a spectacular restaurant .
A group of 12 of us dined there last night, immediately after the Inn had hosted an event for 300+ people, and the staff was completely unflustered. We had a set menu per the chef's recommendation, and the salad or soup, chicken/vegetable mélange/halibut and peach crisp and chocolate pots de crème were absolutely perfect. This is the consolidated opinion of 12 people. If you have a chance to get to this slightly out-of-the-way place, GO. Try the shoulder seasons, summer is, well, summer.

Room Tip: We live nearby, so didn't stay. This is a restaurant review, really.

We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal and experience so much. We would love to host you as guests off the Inn in the future as many of our most loyal guests are actually local as well and love the Inn for a weekend staycation. Also, be sure to keep an eye on our events on our website, especially with the holiday season around the corner as we have many great activities coming up for locals and guests alike!

A group of business associates all checked in to the Inn on the start of a beautiful fall weekend. What a beautiful setting - but the people, the staff what service , so attentive to every need - yet NO TIPPING . The Inn was beautiful with great food and really fun bar and fire pit. The outside service on the deck was excellent. My wife enjoyed the enviro-boat trip around the pond and we both took a long leisurely walk on the beach at the ocean only a short walk away. I would highly recommend the Inn any time of the year !

Went over Labor Day weekend with 3 girlfriends to celebrate a birthday and could not have stayed at a more welcoming place. The staff really was amazing, they catered to our every request and were so gracious and helpful. The Osprey Room was AMAZING! More than enough room for all 4 of us. The showers were 5 star as well as the bedding. Tastefully decorated yet very comfortable. Loved the amenities (coffee/espresso station outside of room with warm cookies/muffins and snacks there for the taking). So much to do as far as poolside, hot tub, kayaking, paddleboards, and public areas for games/reading/cocktails. View was relaxing and the bike rides were great in a serene neighborhood. Can't wait to go back with my husband...can't stop thinking about that glorious shower!!!

The restored Weekapaug Inn has the perfect location. One can access the ocean or the pond directly from the Inn. There are sailboats, kayaks, paddle boats for use. A firepit for roasting lobsters and clams. A lap pool. Wonderful public areas throughout for reading, games, movies. The rooms are very clean. Views from all the rooms. Suites available for large family vacations. Gorgeous setting for weddings. The restaurant chef used to be at Ocean House. She makes the best lobster rolls. Once she left Ocean House, the quality and quantity of the lobster rolls tanked there. What a great place for a getaway whether for the weekend or for a week. The Naturalist gives tours. It's not inexpensive, but it is worth the money. They do a Thanksgiving feast.

Room Tip: One side of the Inn faces a small pond. The other side a larger pond. But all views are nice. If y...
