“Expensive but worth it!”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

I recently held a business meeting for clients at the Weekapaug Inn Restaurant. The food is very pricey but delicious and very creative. The service was impeccable as well. The restaurant is small and quant but there is also a private dinning room available that seats 12. I used this room for my business meeting and it was perfect.

“Outstanding Amenities - Fun For Whole Family”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 via mobile

Traveling with twin toddlers is a challenge for us, so at first I was hesitant about booking the Weekapaug Inn. Aside from being part of the Relais & Chateau group and sister hotel to the luxurious Ocean House, we had no other insight to the property. Within minutes of arriving we realized we discovered a gem. Not only did we get a welcome bag/cooler with water, trail mix, resort map and amenities list, our twin sons received their own amenities package with onesies, baby shampoo, rubber duckies, etc. Our floor had a convenient and complimentary pantry stocked with snacks for the kids and an awesome cappuccino machine. We were steps from the gorgeous beach and a beautiful pool. The lawn overlooked a huge saltwater "pond" where we sipped cocktails on adirondack chairs and watched our boys mess around with the lawn games (bocce, shuffleboard, croquet, and cornhole!). There were also complimentary paddle boards, kayaks, fishing poles, and relaxing boat tours with Mark, the property's Naturalist. The staff swooned over us and our children. For a change of scenery we also visited nearby Watch Hill and the Ocean House - where Weekapaug guests have access to all the amenities! have no idea why anyone would stay at the Ocean House (which has no pool!) when they can stay here for less than half the price. The only complaint I can make is that the dress code at the restaurant was pretty formal and strictly enforced (no shorts or flip flops), and we weren't made aware of this upon making a reso. Bottom line, The Weekapaug is awesome for families of all ages and we can't wait to return.

“Chef trying too hard”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

Lovely Restaurant, Magnificent Location, Wonderful Service ! But a limited Menu which can often be a good thing. However when a particular Salad or Main Course or Dessert has 4 or 5 accompanying "sides" it appears that the Chef has a buffet table in the kitchen and adds a smidge of this and a smidge of that. i.e. my Wife's fish entrée had one little cooked cherry tomato, a smidge of cooked (spinach ,kale ?) and other bits I can't recall. similar with my Duck entrée.
Example: The Meyer Lemon Tart dessert had a crust with poppy seeds, two merengue shaped kisses. two small scoops of fruit sherbert and was drizzled with chocolate sauce. The Lemon Tart was delicious and needed perhaps a drizzle of Rasberry or Chocolate sauce, nothing more.
This is one person's opinion on that few ingredients well done is better than lots of "stuff"
There is no faulting the quality, and you do pay for it as well as the marvelous service and facility.

“Treat yourself to something very special!”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

If you are looking for delicious food as well as an amazing view the Weekapaug Inn is the place to visit! The staff was so welcoming and gracious. We were a group of 10 ladies who experienced such a wonderful afternoon luncheon. We were seated in a private room and the view was lovely! Try the chopped salad with chicken and one of the spectacular desserts, you will not be disappointed! The history of this inn is most interesting and many of the original pieces are in the dining room. We learned Eleanor Roosevelt and one of her sons stayed at the inn. The place is so well appointed and truly a beautiful place to visit as it is surrounded by water.
The next time you want to dine someplace special visit the Weekapaug Inn!
