Kudos to the "hands-on" owners, Mary Ann and Jeff, who made us feel welcomed. We opted for a garden view room which had been tastefully renovated. It was spacious and private with a large shower enclosure...The inn is situated only a two block walk to the heart of town, and directly across the street for an amazing sunset view of Beaufort's lovely tidal river. We enoyed listening to the player piano, and we were also were intrigued with the Civil War history, although we didn't personally meet the friendly ghost said to occasionally make an appearance. We recommend the Cuthbert House Inn if you seek a historic getaway within comfortable driving range of Charleston. The historic district was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays and the breakfast at the Cuthbert House was an A+.
