My wife and I recently spent our 5th wedding anniversary in Beaufort and had an exceptional stay at the Cuthbert House Inn. The home is absolutely beautiful and very well-kept, and the innkeepers were very accommodating. We stayed in the Federal room which had a nice porch overlooking the waterway just outside of the door. The room and bathroom were both very clean, and the working gas fireplace was a great feature. The breakfasts were very good, and the evening receptions are a nice touch. We enjoyed sharing wine with Jeff, who had many good dinner recommendations. This was our first trip to Beaufort and we will definitely be back and will stay at the Cuthbert House Inn.

This is an absolutely great place to stay in the downtown walking district of a quaint historic town. We recommend it for a quiet getaway or special occasion.

Just returned from having stayed 3 nights at The Cuthbert House and could not have been more pleased with my stay. The house is gorgeous and the views are stunning. Lots of common areas, porches, courtyard and rooms to enjoy along with a nice compliment of area literature and other publications in the little library.

My room, The Oaks, is in a private area at the back of the house and has just about everything anyone could want or need. This room has more of a rustic feel to it, but is accented with up market touches. This is especially evident in the large bathroom. The shower is fantastic in this bathroom! The room is rather large and affords more than adequate natural light from its windows. It also has its own little porch outside which is used to access the room. The porch actually has a nice view of the attractive courtyard to the rear of the house.

I was able to see a lot of the other rooms and all were gorgeous and tastefully appointed. Very period but also very comfortable some featuring whirlpool baths.

Breakfasts are served within a large time frame so no fear of sleeping late and missing out. Breakfasts were home made and delicious and always featured seasonal fresh fruit and plentiful juice. I dont drink coffee, but Mary Ann provided me with hot chocolate that was from scratch and DELICIOUS!

A really nice feature here is the evening wine and cheese. This was a nice oppty to meet the other guests and share recommendations with them and also chat with Jeff and Mary Ann who are excellent hosts and are a wealth of information.

The house is gorgeous but you instantly feel "at home" in it. Jeff and Mary Ann are wonderful and always available with advice and helpful hints for the area. They truly care that their guests enjoy themselves and their stay and it shows.

I was born in Beaufort so for me this was like visiting my early childhood :)
Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We had an amazing stay at the Cuthbert House Inn. We had been in Charleston for the week a few days for our honeymoon and didn't want to leave so we extended it to Beaufort for a few days. Jeff and Mary Ann were so helpful and gave great recommendations of places to eat!

We just spent 2 nights at this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. Our hosts, Jeff and Mary Ann were terrific! The location is perfect and their recommendations were always just what we were looking for. We are not breakfast eaters but couldn't resist the 2 mornings we were there. We highly recommend this B & B and will definately return.

My husband and I stayed in the Victoria room at the inn, it was immaculate, beautifully decorated and had a great view to the bay. The breakfast was very nice, food was great. We took the boat tour on Friday afternoon and saw several dolphin, it was amazing. We took the carriage tour on Saturday morning and learned the history of several historical homes and sites in Beaufort which made our trip very exciting, we both love history. We went back and walked the streets to one of the churches and toured the grave yard of soldiers and went inside the church where we talked to members that gave us the history of the church. We also visited Hunting Island Beach which is only 16 miles away
where my husband climbed to the top of the lighthouse. At night we walked downtown and visited all of the wonderful shops and had drinks at Luthers bar (food was great), we sat in the swings by the bay and watched the boats come in and the children play in the park.as you can tell there is lots to do there - our only complaint is that we needed
more time to take it all in. Jeff and Mary Ann were very friendly hosts along with everyone else we met there. It was a very relaxing mini-vacation and we will definitely do it again. We recommend the Cuthbert Inn to anyone!
