We were drawn in by the local atmosphere and the promise of "fresh seafood, live music and cold beer in a parking lot." And on a sunny Saturday afternoon, Nippy's delivered.
Nippy's a little more than a shack with a take out counter and a small "patio" in the parking lot. Tables are wooden, primarily picnic tables with white plastic patio chairs. Menu was a little limited but they deserve points for sticking with what they know! Members of our group of 4 ordered either grouper or shrimp, offered blackened or fried, and served with plastic cutlery in a paper basket with french fries, slaw. Food was fresh. Portions were satisfying. To use the restroom you literally pass through the kitchen. And the live music, outside under a tent, added flavor to the atmosphere.
As the sign above our table reads "If you have a "reservation" you're in the wrong place!"
