“Great Tour!”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

My husband and I stopped in Beaufort for a couple of hours and we were told the best way to see the town was by carriage. We walked down and purchased our tickets for a tour that was starting in 5 minutes. The tour was lead by a knowledgable young woman and a HUGE Belgian horse- the driver expressed a love for the horse that was very nice to me as another horsewoman. We had a great tour and saw lots of gorgeous homes and heard nice little snips of history, and an awesome story about a celebrity who felt her needs outweighed the United States'! Ooh rah Marines! Take this carriage tour- you will enjoy it!

“Best way to see downtown Beaufort!”
Reviewed 13 July 2013 via mobile

Had our family out from the west coast and treated them to a carriage tour. We had a mix of adults and kids(10,8,6,2). The tour was very informative and so relaxing that our two youngest fell asleep on the tour. It lasted about 45 minutes. Locals can go for free if they bring a paying customer. It does get hot so bring a fan and you will be fine:)

“Very Informative”
Reviewed 11 July 2013

Four of us took the tour one afternoon. There were only ones on the tour so we were not cramped and were able to interact with the guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable of local history. While she did have somewhat of a set script, she was able to stray a little and provide additional information and answer questions. The tour was well worth the $18 ticket.

“Enjoyable Experience”
Reviewed 30 June 2013

While we were waiting for a couple of hours before we could check in to our hotel room, we decided to take the horse and carriage historic tour of Beaufort. It turned out to be a good decision. The weather was perfect and there was a lot of shade trees covering the streets during the tour. The young lady conducting the tour had a very good sense of humor and provide a lot of interesting info all along the tour. It's only an hour long tour, but it's well worth the $18 per person to enjoy it.

“It always helps to have a good tour guide!”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Our 1hr ride through historic Beaufort was enjoyable and informative. Our tour guide (from Massachusetts) was historically accurate and provided a lot of interesting facts about the local economy, culture, and history of Beaufort. Perhaps, it was my perception, but the horse seemed to be walking really, really slow. I am not sure if that's normal, I certainly don't think anything was wrong with the horse at all, I guess I just expected it to move along at a faster pace. I enjoyed the tour, thanks to a great guide and beautiful weather.
