“yum!”

pad thai is amazing!! it is run by only a man and woman-married couple. So if it is busy obviuosly it will be slower but worth the wait! So delicious

“Good food, exceptional atmosphere and interesting staff. Wow.”
Reviewed 21 April 2013

We had seafood and Thai fare and both were very good. The food is authentic, fresh and very tasty. The restaurant is located in a converted Victorian style brick house tastefully renovated and decorated with the most eclectic collection of oriental and european kitsch. The owners are quite the interesting couple from totally different ethnic backgrounds and very pleasant to talk to. In short, this kitchen offers real food prepared and served by real people! The menu has it all from pizza to pad thai so one will get left behind, regardless of their tastes. Highly recommended, even if slightly out of the way.

“Great Value, Relaxed Atmospehere - Something for Every Taste”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

Two of us went for lunch on the basis of good reviews for the Thai food - a rarity in this part of rural Ontario. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has three small rooms plus a sit-up bar. The pace is relaxed and friendly. The menu is extensive - including breakfast fare like bacon and eggs; soup salad and sandwiches, burgers, pasta; north american cuisine (fish & chips, BBQ ribs) - and a good selection of thai dishes. We stayed with the thai food and had a large lunch plus beverages and tip all for $50 for two. If I'd know the portion sizes were so generous I'd had had just one dish for lunch, however two seemed to go down very well. The mango salad with chicken and shrimp was outstanding! The beer and wine menu is very basic but there is a good selection of teas - including very good thai ginger tea. The place is more like a small courty hotel, with people dropping by to read the paper and chat in the bar or lounge and have a coffe and dessert. To be fair this place would not attract any sepcial attention in a city - but for Colbourne it is an amazing find.

“Who knew?”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

Great Thai food. More authentic than most Toronto places. Possibly too spicy for some. Quirky, in a good way.
