“Wonderful Inn...we will be back!”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

Two close friends and I stayed at this charming inn for "Girls Weekend" to celebrate our 65th birthdays. We could not have picked a better place for location, comfort and an "over-the-top" friendly staff. We loved our room and everyone treated us as if we were staying in their home for the weekend....seeing to our every need. A delicious "home cooked" breakfast on their rooftop is the way to start your day in Charleston! Thank you, Sandy and the entire staff for making our stay so memorable! We did not want to leave... so that means we will be back! ♥

We stayed here for 3 nights and were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite which was very roomy and clean. The Inn was in the perfect location- walkable to everything in the historic district. The staff was friendly and very helpful with recommendations for dining and activities. The breakfast on the roof was a bonus- food was good and the view was nice. I would definitely stay here again!

An absolutely charming inn in a fabulous lcation. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and the accomodations were lovely. The rooftop terrace was delightful with a delicious breakfast. At the end of the day, you can take a bottle of wine up there and watch the cruise ships. We would definitely stay again the next time we're in town.

I chose this inn based on TA reviews and stayed for 2 nights. Wonderful staff--welcoming and helpful (they made sure my 4am departure went smoothly, offered to pack breakfast for me, etc.). Great location a couple blocks away from Market Street. Clean, comfortable room, very nice Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, solid wifi. Loved the tea and really tasty cookies in the lobby. Would definitely recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: My room didn't have a window to the outside, which was fine with me, but check before booking if...

Andrew Pinckney Inn is very well located in the center of Charleston historic district so that we could walk just about every where we wanted to go. The Market is two blocks away as is the ever favorite Kilwin's for wonderful ice cream. The staff is very helpful and well-informed, going out of their way for us on several occasions (like Everett's walking over to the garage to open the car so that I could retrieve my lost camera or Jeff's mailing the jacket I left behind).

After driving from Atlanta, arrived at the Andrew Pickeney Inn in the late afternoon. at their very interesting reception which is across the steet from the hotel rooms and breakefast area. The setup there is very comfortable and sothern easy style.
The hotel will park your car in a multi-storey park just down the street and had it to the hotel front as and when you might need it. There is a easonable daily cost for the parking
The room was in excellent condition, but a little smaller than the average US hotel rooms, but none the less perfect for our needs. The room fittings were well apointed and in a very fitting period style, with simple and practical touches such as wooden tilting blinds to keep out the sun.
The breakfast area was two stories up from the roadway, outside overlooking the river around a quarter of a mile away and the neaby market. Covered by a simple awning it was great to start the day with an excellent self serve breakfast and ideal to sit out in the evening with any takeaways or just a bottle of wine or beer to relax and unwind. Staff were brilliant, and exceptionally helpfull with tour suggestions and then arranged same for us.

We stayed at the Andrew Pinckney during our first time visit to Charleston for our anniversary. It is absolutely the best location. Ate dinner at Cru and Hanks, both great food, and each a block away. The Market is very close along with all of the other shopping, restaurants, etc. We stayed in the building across the street, which is where the rooftop breakfast is served. Breakfast is top notch, with all of the usual drinks, cereal, yogurt, but also a huge bowl of a fresh fruit mixture, homemade biscuits and gravy, and a hot egg dish each morning. Our room was a suite with a large sofa, nice bathroom, king bed, etc. Outside our room was a nice sitting area. This part of the building was very quiet. The staff are so helpful with offering recommendations, arranging tours, etc. I would highly recommend staying here! We really enjoyed it!

Room Tip: Ask for the 2nd or 3rd floor in the building where the breakfast is served, and away from the elevat...
