The Vendue Inn is wonderful. My husband and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary with a long weekend in Charleston. We stayed in a king room with a fireplace -- room 257 in the annex -- and it was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The location is unbeatable -- right by the waterfront and very close to the market and some great restaurants. We enjoyed watching a lovely sunset at the Rooftop Bar.

We spent 2 fun days here recently, loved the inn, staff was most helpful and our room was quaint and comfy. We really enjoyed having a drink at the rooftop bar before going out to dinner. The location was great, not too noisy, as it could have been in other parts on the city, and close to everything. The bikes were fun, altho riding around the city was kind of scary with all the traffic!

Recent weekend getaway in Sept. Got this gem of a deluxe king room for $189. Nice hardwood floors with whirlpool tub. Careful, water gets very hot. This room was across the street from the main building, but still a great location. Service was exceptional. Free country style breakfast buffett. Rooftop bar to see the city. One block from several 4 star restaurants. Wonderful place to start your visit of the historic downtown Charleston area. Would stay here again and again.
