Just returned from staying at the Jasmine House and loved it. The location was excellent...safe and convenient to all that Charleston has to offer. The room was beautiful...clean and well appointed. The breakfast was better than we expected because it was a continental style and they offered more than just cereal and muffins. The afternoon wine and cheese hour was an added bonus after sightseeing the wonderful city of Charleston. We would definately return to this wonderful Inn everytime we visit Charleston.

Room Tip: View rooms on line and pick the one that appeals to you. They are all beautiful.

Pictures on website are better than reality. Room was spacious and attractive. Bed was bouncy, dresser drawers were nasty-needed liners-musty smelling. Breakfast was at best marginal. Some kind of omelet made with velveeta and little biscuits with some mystery inside them, everything else was store bought. Had to sit on porch or carry upstairs to your room...no indoor dining area. Cheap jug wine (including chilled red) in evening. I didn't hear any other guests raving about the inn. Best attribute was proximity to Meeting Street and other places to have breakfast and cocktails. By the time you pay the state and local taxes, our room was $283 a night.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front are louder. Be prepared to cart your luggage from the Indigo Inn across the park...

We arrived late in the evening and the check-in staff already knew our names, made it a point to show us around despite the hour. Our room was a king on the ground floor with windows out to the front prch and a gorgeous fireplace. So romantic! Despite being right by the stairs and front door, and being told the inn was fully booked, the only time we ever saw or heard anyone else was at breakfast as it was outside our door. Otherwise, just some ambiant noise from the ajoining room via the HUGE bathroom. We loved being able to walk to King street for shopping, afternoon coffee, and such. We'll be back!

Room Tip: I called to make resseervations and was advised to "spring for the extra" to get a king ro...

Gorgeous room, nice staff, great location. Affiliated with the Indigo Inn. Parking provided, which is important in a town like Charleston. Our room, in the carriage house was gorgeous, and had lots of storage, which was great for us. We'd spent a month in Florida and on the way back stopped here. We needed all that space! Nice change from brand name hotels. Breakfast is served in the entry hall. It is not gourmet, but there is something for everyone; and we were glad to not have a superrich breakfast served to us. There is a kitchen with an ice machine and a refrigerator in case you have need of one. Bed was comfortable, bathroom perfectly clean and also had lots of space for the toilet articles of two people, which was nice for a change. Lovely courtyard, although it was too cold to sit out there when we were there. I would absolutely recommend it.

The carriage house rooms are a real bargin for the excellent location! The attractive courtyard is a lovely oasis and sitting there is just what Charleston is all about. There is no innkeeper on site or common living so you don't have that interaction. Breakfast is put out on a buffet and is continental and you can eat in the courtyard, but there is no dining room. The room we had was spacious and quaint without being fussy. We were referred there by the Visitors Center and we were very pleased.

Room Tip: Carriage house rooms are not as historic but still have antiques and oriental rugs on the floors.

What a beautiful place when we arrived in the evening. Wine and cheese and grapes & salad snacks between five and 630PM. The very gracious Lorenzo helped us to our room where we stayed in the carriage house which was absolutely gorgeous. The room was stunning: all old wood furniture, very quaint, very comfortable - we fell in love immediately. We would so return!
