Had a fresh fish lunch special at the bar. It was terrific! Seared fish atop legumes with a cajun sauce. It was great. We ate at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and pleasant. Would definitely go back and get that special!!!

Great service, absolutely fair price for a very good lunch for two.
We also had dinner with them and the lunch stood out better than the dinner. Dinner was still very good but the lunch was excellent.

Stopped in for dinner on our first night is Charleston. They found a table on a busy holiday weekend and our waiter was friendly and attentive. Shrimp and grits and steak were great. Pricey at home but ok for a tourist town $100 with drinks. Very hip crowd at the bar. Clean and comfortable.

Had a great first visit here for dinner. We really enjoyed everything. The biscuits as an appetizer were excellent. We shared the shrimp pasta. It was a good portion and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Very tasty seasoning.

I had read the reviews before making reservations at Pawpaw. Based on multiple great reviews of the fried chicken, my mother-in-law and I ordered it. My husband ordered the ribs and my father-in-law ordered the pork chop. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but the ribs and chicken were outstanding. You get 4 pieces of chicken (couldn't finish it). The ribs have a mustard-based sauce which was cooked in and had the perfect chat to it. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.
The one thing I noticed in the reviews I read is that servers were not always attentive. It seemed the servers had more tables than most restaurants we visit, so they check on you as often as they can, but sometimes your glass sat empty for a little while. Not our waitresses fault, but something the manager may want to re-think.
Overall a great experience and would go back again.
