“Such a Charming Cemetery!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Stopped by for an hour or two on our way to the airport. My friend and I have always enjoyed visiting older cemeteries (a little morbid, I know). This cemetery is interesting...with lots of variety to see. Open until 6PM.

“Words just can't do this Cemetery justice...Must See!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

This was our first stop on our way into Charleston. Nothing can prepare you for the unexplained tranquility of this magnificent step back into history. The moss hanging from the Magnolia trees gives not only a creepy feel but a historical one too. The Confederate burial sight with all the lines of markers in-between 2 cannons is surreal. You truly can get lost for hours reading all the markers and taking a step back into history in wonderment. It was one of those stops where with each picture you take you cant help but wonder what each of their stories was.....
This is definitely a "MUST" stop on your journey into the History of Charleston.
Make sure you use GPS, we found that this Cemetery is tucked away and not that easy to find.

“Great Photo Op”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

And not just if you're looking for ghost. The gardens are beautiful and the general feel of the place is relaxation and tranquility. its not the type of place I would go every week but it is nice to visit at least once before you become a permanent resident. Will I be back, at least one more time.

“Beautiful Cemetery”

Beautiful grounds with mature trees and calm water. Not too far outside the city of Charleston. The staff was able to help me find a specific grave.
