“Don't Miss a Carriage Tour of Charleston”
Reviewed 4 April 2012

We were fortunate to go with Old South Tours on a surrey to see "old Charleston ". We had a fine guide and a Belgian Draft horse on the trip. There are many companies which do these tours through the city. Best values on these are getting the tickets from the Charleston Visitors Center. You can also get walking maps- you will want to visit the City Market where all the tours leave from. The tours run about 1 + hour but touring the Market and stopping for a snack can be longer.

“Adventure in Charleston”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

Charleston is a great city and offers wonderful cultural, dining and site seeing opportunities. However, if you are interested in real adventure and unique experience (canoeing/kayaking to the barrier island with overnight in the tent) with an expert guide for a very affordable price you can contact Roman at canoefan@knology.net. If you have more time and guts you can try canoeing and camping on lakes and rivers of SC or even participate in the trip to waterfalls of Western SC & NC where you can explore, climb, slide and jump waterfalls - unforgettable experience. Prices are around $50 per day or $100 PP for two days with everything included.

“Must see sights on John's Island are the Charleston Tea Plantation and the Angel Oak Tree.”
Reviewed 7 July 2011

You will be amazed at the Angel Oak Tree, it's living history. The Charleston Tea Plantation will educate you on how tea is grown and harvested. The tea is delicious and the trolley driver tour guide is delightful. Sit on the porch and sip free tea. A great day in John's Island.

“Linda is exceptional; a truly engaging and informative experience”
Reviewed 5 November 2010

Linda and her company, Charleston SC Tours, do a fabulous job in interpreting the history of the Charleston area. Linda is particularly knowledgeable, engaging, and has a great personality! As a university professor who each year, for a week, takes students to Charleston, I can say without exception that Linda provides a walking tour experience that is commonly cited by the students as the highlight of their week.
