We recently visited Charleston for the first time, and chose this hotel based on AAA's recommendation. As we were staying 5 nights, we got the long-term rate, which was
quite reasonable. Our suite was quite comfortable, clean and spacious, and included a fridge, stove-top, microwave, coffee maker, and all necessary utensils and tableware. The sitting room also offered an eating area with a table and chairs, desk and office chair to access the free
Wi-fi, sofa, chairs, coffee table and end tables, as well as a TV (another TV in the bedroom). The bedroom and bathroom were both nicely furnished and clean.
The hotel has a daily breakfast buffet and a manager's reception each evening during the week, both of which were excellent. They also have a shuttle service each evening to/from downtown Charlotte.
The front desk personnel were all extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful.
They would even print out directions to/from all the places we wanted to go, and
believe me, we need all the directional help we can get in a new place!!
The prices for the downtown hotels were terribly expensive, and this hotel is only
a 5 minute drive away from historic downtown Charleston, so definitely worth it.
We absolutely will stay there again.More
