We like to stay at higher-end hotels when we travel...we like grand lobbies, very well trained staff, spotless rooms, etc. Charleston Place did not disappoint. We had a beautiful junior suite with two balconies and an amazing bathroom with a soaker tub. Great location. Great air conditioning (which is often a problem in older hotels). Staff is very well trained and attentive. We'll stay here next time we come to Charleston for sure.

We've stayed at the Charleston Place Hotel many times, often on the Club Level. This hotel never disappoints us. It is as close to perfect has a hotel can get. Our only complaint is that valet parking is $25 per night - rather steep in our opinion.

Everything about this hotel is lovely. Grand Southern charm feeling. Right in the middle of everywhere you want to be. Delightful rooms. Well-trained, friendly staff. Elegant restaurant with live jazz background music. Nice shops - easy to spend money! Everything works - can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Don't necessarily take the first room offered.

Please do yourself a favor and stay on the Club Level. It is a little more expensive but worth every penny. It includes heavy continental breakfast, afternoon appetizers before dinner and desserts after dinner. You pick up your waters free before you start your excursions outside the hotel and the complimentary bar is full service. We were SPOILED ROTTEN! The staff is responsive to every need. The rooms were very nice and clean.

We enjoy B&B personal touches, so this was like combining the amenities and friendliness of a a B&B with a luxury hotel. We are already planning our next visit! One of the best experiences of our travels!
