Charleston Place is always my hotel of choice. It offers the best combination of southern charm, hospitality and concierge services, topnotch gourmet and casual dining--as well as the best spa in town. The indoor pool area is a rarity! Forget the cramped bed-and-breakfasts with limited amenities.

The location cannot be beat. It allows easy access to shopping, historical sites, and the water. the only disappointment i have is that the beds were not as comfortable as you would expect for a top-flight hotel.

The hotel was lovely and the staff was great. I was disappointed to find a $32 fee per day for parking - I would think that parking your car would be complimentary at a hotel such as this and I was not told there would be a fee.

First time to Charleston & what a wonderful pick for a quiet, get away from it all weekend. Hotel is superb. Would definitely recommend the Club Level. Amenities are great, staff was so kind & helpful & the lounge is the perfect place to meet people from all over the world. Room was great, view was OK, not spectacular. Cleanliness was impeccable. Yes, it is expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed & will be back again!

Room Tip: Room 728 was very nice, view just OK. There were some noisy children nearby which we heard on occas...

The price keeps this from getting a higher rating.I expect a much better experience for the $$ that were charged.Room was decent, although the TVs are tiny by today's standards.
Service was fine, food was good but nothing I would call great.
The location is simply perfect.Easy walk to restaurants, activities etc..

This hotel was pure pleasure. The staff was consistently helpful from the valet to bellhop to Front Desk, but the Concierge Desk made our trip a success!! We had a basic plan of where and what we wanted to do. However, weather forced a few changes. The Concierge staff assisted with activity suggestions, as well as alternate restaurants. A shout out to Sarah!

Room Tip: We had two rooms side by side on the 3rd floor. Our rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed...
