We had a one night stay and no complaints. Renovation of rooms were very nice with light teal colors and brown. Comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Close to some great eating establishments also. Toast Restaurant was great for breakfast, Husk Bar was absolutely charming and offered a large variety of unusual drinks that we enjoyed, along with scrumptious appetizers. Then dinner at Poogan's Run was delicious! These three places had been recommended by a friend who visits Charleston frequently and we were pleasantly surprised to find all three right by our hotel. Renovation taking place at the front of the hotel but was not a problem, would love to come back and enter from the front instead of the side door, but we may have never seen the wonderful restaurants if we had not turned into the side of the building.

Thank you for this lovely review. Please tell your friends thank you for the recommendation of our hotel. We are very lucky to be located next to some great restaurants. Charleston has so many places to eat that are just amazing and we would love for you to visit again so that you may try some of the other fine restaurants we have to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Mills House in Charleston. It is a great location, nice room, and friendly service. Breakfast was great. We will return. The renovations were nice. Garage parking next door with a ramp to the hotel on the 3rd floor.

I had checked the reviews before we arrived and they didn't look so promising I thought oh dear.... I was pleasantly surprised!!! The room was very clean, fresh and up to date. It did lack bathrobes and slippers...we were on the 7 th floor and had friends staying on the 3rd floor and we got a peak at their room and it was just lovely like ours... We had a kingsize bed and it was really comfortable no backache in the morning.There was bottled water on arrival but wasn't replenished daily unless you asked. I called reception and asked about the water and it was sent up within minutes. There is a very nice bar in the lobby area and restaurant where I had a fabulous breakfast which by the way won't break the bank... I had the eggs Benedict which was very filling,tasty and cost around $12. The staff were all very pleasant... I needed a late checkout which wasn't a problem..Would definitely stay here again...
