Hotel is located downtown near restaurants, trolley stops, art venues, and within walking distance to the City Market. Hotel is first class and the renovations are beautiful. The staff bends over backwards to make your stay perfect. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times because of the convenience and found the food and service excellent. We parked our car the 4 days with their valet service and used rickshaws/trolleys and walking to go all over Charleston. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are a little tight but the hotel was build many years ago when everything/everyone was smaller & we carried less stuff. The rooms have spacious sitting areas, strong WIFI, comfy beds, thick towels, great housekeeping service.. no complaints. The bathroom pocket doors don't offer complete privacy so make sure you "really" know your travel mate. Noise from the streets could be an issue for light sleepers but I took my noise maker and slept soundly. These are little things that could add up for picky travelers.. I loved staying there and I'm pretty picky myself. Great time. We'll definitely stay again.
