Ann does a great job taking you through the nooks and crannies of the historical district and explaining the history of Charleston. Nice finish at the home where she grew up with lemonade and cookies. Recommended by the staff at our hotel, and we were very pleased.

“Most personal tour of Charleston!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

This was my first walking tour of Charleston and I can't imagine finding one better. Anne intermingles the wonderful and intricate history of one of America's most fascinating cities, with personal accounts and her own history. She took us down alleys that I never could've found on my own, stopped in spots to give us the most amazing views of church steeples, and kept us entertained for two full hours. The final stop in Anne's family's garden for lemonade was the icing on the cake. I would HIGHLY recommend Anne if you really want to see Charleston.

“Informative tour.”

Anne provides a great tour, with many "behind the scenes" details about old charleston. It's really a great way to get to know the city. Well worth the time and cost. She is conscious of the heat and aims for shady spots.

“Wonderful Walking Tour with Anne”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

I researched online several walking tours and decided to go with Anne Middleton and I am so pleased with this tour. Anne is knowledgeable about Charleston and can tell so many tales and stories about the city. She showed us hidden gems that we would have missed if we had just walked around the city without a tour. It was well worth the cost of the tour and we would definitely do it again. You will happy with this tour of Charleston.

“Great Walking Tour of Charleston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

Highly recommended by hotel concierge and we were not disappointed!! A wonderful 2 hour tour of history blended with personal family anecdotes. Anne was lovely and knowledgeable, a great storyteller while winding through charming alleys and out of the way streets. Sipping lemonade in her parent's courtyard on Church Street was a perfect ending to a delightful tour. Anne is truly an asset to the city of Charleston!
