“Great tour!”

Anne's walking tour of Charleston was both informative and fun! She did a great job of sharing Charleston's rich history all while leading the group around much of the downtown area. She was very kind and knowledgeable; her enthusiasm for her job and city were contagious! I would definitely recommend her tour to anyone looking to see and learn a lot in a few hours!

“A splendid 2 hour walking tour of historic Charleston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Ann Middleton Herron's walking tour of Charleston was the perfect way to begin our first full day in Charleston. Ann's intimate knowledge of Charleston, coupled with her solid grasp of American history, brought Charleston to life for us - from the city's 17th century birth, through its emergence as a colonial city, to its colorful present. Ann is a 13th generation Charlestonian who can help you capture the essence of Charleston in a broad, historical context down to the small little traits of the city that she can call forth from her childhood days. This tour was an absolute "table setter" and the remainder of our time in Charleston became so personally significant. We left Charleston feeling a real kinship with the city and I don't think we would have developed such fondness without the benefit of Ann's tour. We can't wait to return to Charleston. Thank you, Ann, for your love of such a beautiful city and sharing your unique knowledge.

“Very Enjoyable”

Ann does a great job taking you through the nooks and crannies of the historical district and explaining the history of Charleston. Nice finish at the home where she grew up with lemonade and cookies. Recommended by the staff at our hotel, and we were very pleased.

“Most personal tour of Charleston!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

This was my first walking tour of Charleston and I can't imagine finding one better. Anne intermingles the wonderful and intricate history of one of America's most fascinating cities, with personal accounts and her own history. She took us down alleys that I never could've found on my own, stopped in spots to give us the most amazing views of church steeples, and kept us entertained for two full hours. The final stop in Anne's family's garden for lemonade was the icing on the cake. I would HIGHLY recommend Anne if you really want to see Charleston.

“Informative tour.”

Anne provides a great tour, with many "behind the scenes" details about old charleston. It's really a great way to get to know the city. Well worth the time and cost. She is conscious of the heat and aims for shady spots.
