We decided to stay at this hotel the night before I started my second year of college. There were no problems with anything and the location was very good. I would stay at this hotel again in a heart beat. Hampton Inn's never let me down no matter what part of the world they are in!!!

My wife and I recently did a 30th wedding anniversary road trip down the eastern seaboard of the USA from Washington DC down to Jacksonville and decided to stay at this hotel due to it's convenient location in the heart of Historic Charleston. We were not disappointed and in fact were very surprised when upon checking in it was announced that we were being upgraded to a suite. The staff were all friendly and always found time for a quick chat. The pool is a superb facility to return to after a long day sightseeing and taking breakfast outside was wonderful, you forget that the hotel is located in the city centre.

The hotel was nice, the staff friendly, and the location was really nice. Most Hampton Inns we have stayed in have been well above average, as medium priced hotels go. The hotel was located in a very nice area within walking distance to many attractions and fine restaurants. Valet parking was not offered and when we first arrived, we did not see the concierge on duty and we unloaded our own luggage and took it to our room without realizing that bell service was available, but we are certainly not above carrying our own bags.

This hotel was in a great location for visitors to the city. The free trolley stopped right in front of the hotel and ran all day. The visitor center was directly across the street. The garage attached to the hotel was well lit and secure. There were many good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. Breakfast offerings were diverse. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Hotel staff were very friendly. It was nice to park our vehicle in the deck and be able to walk to the historic district and other areas. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices. Enjoyed our stay very much!
