Would Strongly suggest to stay her when in Charleston. Rooms were Good, Courtyard was pretty and the hotel is centrally located to King Street for great Restaurants and shopping as well as a 10 minute walk to Market Street.
The Breakfast , which is included is Very Good and surprisingly abundant. Coffee served all day as well. So Glad we decided to book here.

We have stayed at this Hotel before. The location and amenities are great. We were a short walk away from the visitors center, transportation and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Charleston.

My sister and I stayed here recently and found our room to be spacious and clean. We couldn't adjust the thermostat though and it got a little warm in our room. This wasn't a huge problem in late October but could be in August! Great breakfast included in the price which was very reasonable for a down-town hotel. It's located directly across from the Visitor center and free trolley stop but is a decent walk from the City Market, Waterfront park and below Broad area. We walked back from an evening tour( which met at the Court House) along Meeting street around 10: 30 pm on a Tuesday night and it was a long walk and pretty deserted at that time of night.A little creepy for 2 women. Next time I would walk along King St. However, it's very close to the Aiken-Rhett house and some cool restaurants on King Street and the college campus. Go to Pane and Vino for Italian and Juanita Greenberg's for Mexican both of which are less than 5 minutes from the hotel. Also the beds are super comfy!!

Room Tip: Request a room facing the courtyard. We had a first floor room which opened in the courtyard. The other side of the building faces a parking lot and parking garage.

My wife and I typically stay at Hampton Inns while traveling as the price is reasonable and accommodations are clean and updated in most cases. Hampton in Charleston is certainly one of these. The inn is located on a tour trolley route which adds to the convenience. The only negative about staying at this location is that the use of public parking is the only option at $14.00 per day.

We had had a small issue with a Hampton Inn in Charlotte before arriving here (thankfully now resolved). Over and above finding ourselves in one of the best rooms here, with a door to the garden and a small private sitting area, we were contacted by the manager to make sure everything was OK - a nice touch. Three very enjoyable nights here. Location ideal, notably with an easy walk to a number of local restaurants on King Street. Comfortable, decent breakfast and secure parking too (extra charge for this).
