My wife and I stayed here two nights celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The place was just what we expected, the location was wonderful, the exterior and gardens picturesque. It is pricey, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. We had the room with the detached bath...it was quaint, and really not an inconvenience. The staff were outstanding, made us feel very special. I guess you can say " you get what you pay for"

Two Meeting Street Inn is a beautiful historic home located in a quiet residential area. My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with our experience. We stayed in the "Granite Room" on the third floor. The room was clean and cozy. Hospitality is at its best at this Inn. From the minute we arrived, we were swept off our feet and taken care of until the minute we left. The entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. Breakfast and afternoon tea served on the large porch overlooking the Battery was a highlight. The food was all phenomenal, but our favorites were the cakes. Location is outstanding as you are right on the park and within walking distance to many of Charleston's best restaurants. We can't wait to visit again!

I know I have reviewed Two Meeting Street Inn before, but we just returned from our 21st visit in 19 years at Two Meeting Street Inn and every year is more magical than the year before! The beauty of the Inn, the warm hospitality from all of the staff and the Spell family...the amazing yummies served at afternoon tea....it is a totally wonderful place to be. The Inn is also located so close to everything...we park the car and never get back in it until it is time to leave. We already miss our Two Meeting Street Inn family and can't wait until our next visit!!

We arrived late in the evening, after flight delays, to a beautifully illuminated crisp white B&B
and welcoming staff to show us our room and help with a late dinner restaurant choice just down the street. We stayed in the first-floor "Music Room" which is beautifully appointed and conveniently located just off the foyer, parlor and dining room. A full breakfast was served on the veranda which wraps around three sides of the house and overlooks the garden, Battery Park and the water beyond. Gracious staff serve coffee, tea and breakfast at your bistro table there or on a small patio off the kitchen. hot entrees such as a tomato quiche or the like is served with plenty of fresh fruit, juice and pastries to start your day. reservations were made for dinner, suggestions to local attractions were provided and we were made to feel like family by the owner and her attentive staff while sipping lemonade after a day of sight-seeing and enjoying the comforts of their shady veranda and Southern hospitality. they really made our stay a great one and I wouldn't stay anywhere else but here in the future. prime location in the Historic District and the best staff we've ever met. Our thanks to all and we hope to see you next April!

Room Tip: we like the first floor room so we could avoid stairs. We did hear upstairs footsteps, however, but...

Because there were three of us traveling, the Queen Anne room gave us girls with lots of luggage plenty of space to spread out and be perfectly comfortable. The room was wrapped I lots of natural light which provided fantastic views when waking up. The bathroom was the original bathroom that served all the second floor at one time, and we were happy we enjoyed it all to ourselves. Every morning we looked forward to a beautifully plated and cooked full breakfast and had a delightful array of nooks to choose from to sit and great the morning as we planned our adventures for the day. The staff was always accommodating in making suggestions for us to do and arrange for taxis and dinner reservations. During peak travel, this is highly recommended. Fig Restaurant is one our favorites! We also loved our carriage tour as our driver was so knowledgable and helped us get oriented quickly to know where to return for more time to peruse. The people of Charleston are very warm, friendly, and will stop and help you along the way. Once you choose to stay at Two Meeting Street Inn, you will be experiencing the very best Charleston has to offer, so why go anywhere else? We are returning to celebrate our 35th anniversary later this year and it feels like we're returning to visit our new friends.

Room Tip: Recommend the Queen Anne Room for 3-4 traveling together. Any of the rooms are delightful in every...

After reviewing the many lodging options in Charleston, we selected Two Meeting Street Inn based on Trip Advisor feedback as well as several other factors such as location and ease of access to points of interest within the city. We were not disappointed with our choice and found much to enjoy about this venerable B&B. Dating back to the 1890s, the property is immaculately maintained inside and out. The grounds are highlighted by several majestic live oak trees, and the house has an enormous porch on the lower level for all to enjoy, while our room (#3) had direct access to a smaller shared (but still spacious) porch on the upper level. Once greeted at the front door upon check-in, we stepped into what impressed us as another version of the historic Mark Twain House in Hartford, Connecticut: Beautiful woodworking and paneling, period furniture, several Tiffany windows, and all the accoutrements one would expect to see in a home of Victorian era opulence. Modern conveniences such as wifi access, in-room safes, flat screen TVs, and a large refrigerator on the second floor (for guests' beverages and/or leftovers) enhance the comfort of the rooms. Breakfast each morning consists of a hot entree such as creme brulee French toast, quiche, or (our favorite) sausage casserole, served with an array of fresh fruit. The portion was not overwhelming, which works to better advantage because one doesn't feel weighed down by a huge meal and leaves a little room for lunch while out and about the town. Those who choose to revel in the afternoon tea are also in for a treat, with selections such as shrimp spread or olive cheese accompanied by an assortment of crackers, to say nothing of sweet offerings like "hay stacks" (pretzel sticks and cranberries clustered with white chocolate), lime pound cake, cookies "du jour", etc. All of this can be washed down with iced tea or lemonade, ably poured in fine fashion by the friendly staff of innkeepers who are most accommodating to attending to your requests for dinner reservations, calls for cabs, and recommendations for items you may wish to place on your itinerary. With this trip being our first ever to South Carolina, we did very well in selecting an inn where we always felt at home.

Room Tip: Rooms #2 and #3 share the huge upper-level porch, but not to worry about privacy as there's enou...

We stayed at 4 historic inns on our visit and this inn is far superior in its setting, food and service! The attention to detail is what makes Two Meeting Street really shine! Sitting on the front veranda and enjoying the beautiful gardens and park across the street is pure pleasure. The afternoon tea was superb and the lemon bars are to die for! Staying here was on my "Bucket List" and it certainly lived up to all my expectations! If you can only stay in one inn during your Charleston visit, choose this one. You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: The Canton room on the third floor has its own stained glass window. The room is small but very love...
