For many years we were only spectators peering through the magnificent wrought iron fence that surrounds this property in true Charleston Southern Style. It was a dream to stay there if only for a night. My husband surprised me by driving up to the gates, parking....and as I suspected a stroll through White Point Gardens and the gazebo overlooking the Battery (where he proposed to me). My jaw dropped when he entered the gate to this "Amazing" home and uttered "Let's go check in." It took me a good 20 minutes to be able to even speak! Always wondering how it would be to be inside and feel the history of the home, and here I was....a guest!
I can only say that the inside was every bit as amazing as the magnificent architectural display from peering through those gates. The staff treated us as if we were royalty! Not one need or curiosity was unmet or unsatisfied. Afternoon tea was truly outstanding.....visiting with Mrs. Spell, the Innkeeper could not have offered more warmth to this experience! I complimented her on her staff and she graciously smiled saying "They are good aren't they?" To which I responded, "No Ma'am just "good" is an insult! They are Unbelievable! There are no words to describe this overall three night experience was. Looking forward to visiting again!

My husband and I have been vacationing in Charleston since 1990. Two Meeting Street is without question the most wonderful place you could EVER stay. There simply are not enough words to describe the charm of the Inn coupled with the warmth and southern hospitality of the Innkeepers and the entire staff. Wonderful breakfast, fantastic tea in the afternoon ( and I don't mind saying that the homemade chocolates are the best ).How wonderful it was to enjoy afternoon tea on the porch across from a park with a beautiful water view. We cannot wait to go back again. Our only problem is in choosing one room over another because they all are a treat.

My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at Two Meeting Street Inn. The home is historical and appointed with beautiful furnishings that only add to the experience.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The inn's location is great to see all Charleston has to offer. After a day of walking through the historic district, it was a real treat to come back and have tea and wonderful homemade goodies on the incredible porch.

Location is outstanding and the views from the veranda over the water and park are lovely. This historic "wedding" house is on the horse carriage and walking tour routes and deservedly so for the lovely neighborhood it is in. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, have all the amenities one could expect at these prices including adequate electrical outlets for charging gizmos, extra heaters, comfortable bedding, etc. The service is outstanding. There is always a staff person available, sometimes 2-3 who are very attentive and gracious. The tea service was excellent with interesting cheese and savory spreads plus a variety of little cakes/sweets. There is always bottled water, ice and coffee/tea available. The owner was pleased to give a little history of the house and the furnishings.

Room Tip: Am told that the third floor rooms are not as nice with the slanted ceilings and bathroom down the h...

Oh my gosh, the BEST bed and breakfast ever! It made you feel like you lived in old Charleston and the breakfasts were soooo good! We were even lucky enough to have breakfast with Mrs, Spell who stayed at the inn because of the rare ice storm in Charleston and gave us the history of the house and stories about Charleston, Our room had a 2nd floor porch which would so great in season.

Room Tip: The Spell room on the second floor with semi-private porch and fireplace is the best!

We were in town for an innkeepers convention (yes, we are fellow innkeepers!) and we treated ourselves to a couple of days of pampered relaxation at Two Meeting Street. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfasts were excellent, the amenities were top notch and the owners and staff were incredibly gracious. No request was a difficulty and they couldn't have been nicer in anticipating our needs. The inn is in a wonderful location for exploring Charleston on foot - either the town or the waterfront. When you need a break from the world, a little pampering (afternoon tea was lovely), or just a quick getaway, look no further as the team at Two Meeting Street will make you feel right at home.

We stopped in Charleston on our way back north from Florida. We decided on Two Meeting Street Inn based on the wonderful reviews and the location. This historic inn did not disappoint. We were met with southern charm and hospitality from the moment we entered the inn to our departure. The inn tells a story and we were impressed by its grandness and elegance, yet it was an extremely comfortable and inviting space. The grounds are beautiful—I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all that this inn had to offer. We will certainly come back our next time around!
