This place seemed quaint online and it certainly was. We stayed here Thurs-Sun night and had a pretty good time overall.
-We were able to walk everywhere in town
-Pretty comfy bed
-Free internet access, books, magazines, and games
-Free make your own waffle breakfast was a fun start to each day
-Our room had bedbugs. Lots. Enough said. Hopefully this has been rectified.
-The staff was great but the usual cadre of weird hostel guests wasnt as cool. There was a senior citizen next door to us who acted very bizarrely and a portly middle age man who spent most of the weekend screaming at the staff about totally ridiculous stuff.
-The hostel is definitely the highlight of the neighborhood. Honestly, this place is in the projects and the MapQuest directions to it take you through places I would never ever have gone. We had to drive through a band of thirty people standing in the street in the dark who lived in the project nearby. I did feel safe while at the hostel itself.
