My wife and I just recently stayed here and truly had a wonderful experience. We understand that the hotel has been open for just a few months. Very impressive beginning. I couldn't help but note the comment of another reviewer regarding the maid service and the hotel owners' response. We had the same issue and glad to see that it is being addressed. The rest of the staff - shout outs particularly to John, Kathryn, Justin - to name a few - were outstanding. They simply could not have been more accommodating and giving of their time and information to make our stay a very, very pleasant one.

We found the location to be quite good. While not centrally located, it is most certainly just fine for seeing a good deal of this wonderfully, charming city on foot. All in all - a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: Be aware that there is construction going on down the street from the hotel. I believe this is for...

Recently spent three nights at this charming and lovely inn in an historic Charleston neighborhood. Staff was most helpful, and the room was very comfortable. Lovely breakfast included, and great coffees! Make your reservations early as this new spot is going to be filling up fast! Lovely porches which, in warmer weather, will be a great place to relax after a day on the town!

This was our 1st trip to Charleston & 0 George is a new & well located hotel. The staff, especially Justin & Kathryn, were exceptionally helpful. Nice cocktail hour(s) & breakfast buffet. The staff made great recommendations & reservations for us for our meals. Quiet too & comfrtable beds.

Room Tip: Do NOT get the 3rd floor unless you are fitness buffs into climbing! They could use makeup mirrors i...

The room and grounds are very nice. Very attentive staff, except the maid service, which is shoddy. Fully-stocked in-room Keurig machine is great, but twice I had to go to the front desk and ask for coffee pods which were never replenished by the cleaning staff. Complimentary beverages in the refrigerator were also restocked only sporadically, causing another trip to the desk for water. My objection is not that these things were not provided, but that they were offered and then only occasionally produced. This is not the kind of consistency one would expect at what is billed as a luxury hotel.

Dear SuzieChuzie,

We do appreciate your constructive comments. My manager spoke to me about your problem while you were staying with us. While glad that we responded to your issue, it should not have happened in the first place. We have completed a detailed checklist for our new housekeeper, who is training to learn the business.

You are correct that, as a luxury hotel we must have the consistency. We believe we now have those details in place.

Would appreciate your reaching out to us directly on your next trip to Charleston so we can provide a special amenity and take fabulous care of you.

Sincerely, Dean & Lynn Andrews, Propreitors

Zero George is the sort of place that looks like it happened over time and by accident. Indeed I am confident neither is true as it has just been completely renovated, and while comfortable and elegant beyond all expectations, the careful approach with which the renovation was undertaken leaves you thinking about the history of this amazing town not jarred by any of the usual corners cut in modern restoration, which is not easy to accomplish and certainly is not an accident. The staff is lovely, the proprietors helpful but not hovering, and the ambiance truly special. Were it not for the amazing sights and food that Charleston has to offer, most guests, including this one, would be hard pressed to find reason to leave the property.

Room Tip: those rooms inside and to the rear of the property are the most quiet.

Beautiful and elegant boutique hotel located in central Charleston within walking distance of great sites and fabulous restaurants. Hosts are welcoming and knowledgeable and setting manages to be both chic and comfortable. Tastefully decorated with beautiful touches everywhere--lovely patio with beautiful planting, a mix of antiques, and one of the sweetest breakfast rooms anywhere.

Enjoyed 2 nights at this new hotel in Charlottesville: staff were friendly, breakfast was complete with great espresso in a sunny room, and the room was a good size. Very comfortable and within walking distance of the town center. Decor is sophisticated and unfussy.
