“Southern Charm at its finest!”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

Southern charm and hospitality is felt from the moment you arrive at Zero George. The staff is professional, friendly and very helpful in giving you not only the ins and outs of the hotel, but of the city, things to do and places to dine and drink. The rooms are well appointed and have everything to ensure a comfortable and restful visit. The nightly happy hour is fantastic and the charm of the bar and drawing room allows for friends and strangers to meet, mingle and toast to good Cheer and great times. I loved this hotel and the staff ( Allie and Justin) especially wonderful. Wil tell everyone to book this hotel when visiting Charleston.... Dreaming of our next trip!

Room Tip: Get a king room- not only a bit bigger in square footage but also a bit quieter based on room locati...

Arrived for a two night stay for business. Excellent service from those on staff. I didn't know what to expect from a boutique for business, but the rooms and common areas were much nicer than any chain, and the amenities in the room were above expectations. Would recommend to personal and business travelers. Would request a room off East Bay next time due to traffic noise.

We stayed at Zero George for the first time (having stayed in charleston multiple times in the past) and we can't wait to return. This was excellence at a small boutique hotel and the staff went out of their way to please us. The room was comfortable and well appointed. We received free valet parking (unheard of in Charleston) and continental breakfast daily. Happy Hour is for all guest and they served wonderful wines and cheese plates. Justin (who we concluded rarely left the property) even made specialty drinks one evening. The owners were on site for Food & Wine festivities and brought in their executive chef from their winery in Virginia. We had the pleasure of sampling her dishes that she was preparing for food journalist who were in town. A great property, great staff and the best in Southern Hospitality.

On our way home from visiting our grandson in Florida we made a quick decision to spend the night in Charleston. We called ahead to a bed and breakfast we had stayed t an earlier time but they were booked but say to call Zero George Inn. They had one room left and it was meant for us. If we could have stayed a week there we would have done so. This is a new establishment of six single houses with a courtyard in the center area. I believe they have 17 rooms and is a bed and breakfast with wine and cheese at 6 pm. We were delighted with the ambience of the place and the history of the homes. The owners have done an outstanding job in refurbishing the rooms, kitchen, drawing room, and courtyard. I felt like I had stepped back in time. I give this establishment a extremely high recommendation. We will return to stay longer as Charleston is one of my favorite cities. Cannot get enough of the history and the elegance of the homes.

The Hotel is great in several ways. It is convenient to central historic Charleston--we walked almost everywhere; it is a lovely rendition of old-time Southern living; and it is staffed by charming, helpful folks who saw to it that all our needs and desires were met. The food at the hotel and the happy hour offerings were superb. We stayed five nights and would do it again gladly!

Room Tip: Rooms at the third floor are quiet and restful--we stayed in Z6.

Zero George is a gem in Charleston. Mary Catherine and Allie were a dream team at the front desk arranging a wonderful walking tour and advising us on restaurants, shopping etc. The rooms are beautiful, keeping the Charleston character in every detail. Food was excellent. I will not stay anywhere else in Charleston.
