We go every year for the Tea Room with friendly people and fantastic food. The menu has soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The desserts are made by people from the church and are all wonderful. We also go to the Church Mouse Gift Shop to find treasures. The cathedral is also open for viewing. It's a local tradition well worth the trip.

We were looking for this church's little free library. We were led to it in the rear of the church by one of the congregation. She also pointed us to the one near the College of Charleston, 1/2 block away. Grace is enormous and beautiful.

My husband and I were recent tourists in Charleston. While making plans for the visit, I scheduled a worship service on a Sunday morning at Grace Church Cathedral. I read all the history I could find online about the church prior to the visit and was excited to attend. We had planned to park in a nearby parking garage, but lucked out and found a space at the church. We arrived early, so we had an opportunity to snap a few pictures before folks began to arrive for the 11AM Service. The sanctuary itself is spectacular, so beautiful. The music was just what one would expect in a church like this......powerful and perfect and the worship service looked to be filled capacity. The homily was short and to the point, which is the way we like it. One line from the sermon stuck with me and went something like this, "If God isn't everywhere, then He's nowhere." We look forward to another visit to Charleston and to Grace Church Cathedral.

Evensong is the simplest and most beautiful service in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition, and Grace Church Cathedral does it best! A guest choir provided the service music in the classical setting, the perfect ending to a long weekend of travel and beginning to an extended stay in the Charleston area.

Beautiful, gothic church with all the spirit and love that the Episcopal Church has to offer. So grateful to this church family for opening its doors and hearts to us at the 2018 Forma Conference. I so enjoyed meeting some of the members at the closing Eucharist who had gathered to hear The Most Rev. Michael Curry (Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church - USA) preach. I hope to bring my family for a visit sometime.
