We have been in here for lunch and for drinks and for dinner several times. With so many restaurants in Charleston - we feel this one deserves repeat visits. Last time we went, we had the calamari - it was pretty good but not the best - but still pretty good. We had two drinking wine, 1 the Dark and Stormys (very strong!), and 1 beer - all of us were happy with recommendations! We ordered the mussels and the bouillabaisse and the Croque Monsieur étouffée - everything was really really good! We all shared everything and we were delighted by all the flavor sensations! This is a restaurant right in the thick of everything going on so if it is a busy time of year (any time after April 5th), you may want to make a reservation - we have been lucky to get seated at or near the bar but it can be crowded and very loud just fyi - we did not mind. The service was great!

Stopped here for a light lunch. Almost everything on the menu is fish with an Asian flair; but there were some vegetarian and meat selections. My husband had the mussels and I had a heirloom tomato/fried mozzarella salad. The food was fresh and delicious. I would definitely go back and would love to try this restaurant for dinner.

Fish is a bit of a step away from the Lowcountry food we'd been getting our fill on. It's a restaurant that feels a little fancy and pub-style at the same time. Local ingredients that have a French approach with the caress of Asian flavours. A marriage of styles that felt like the perfect way to round off our Charleston experience.

A freshly corked bottle of vino and a couple of tasty dishes was all this pair needed. A pink, rosy fan of roasted Long Island duck breast (24) with asparagus, mushrooms and mac & cheese "spring roll". The spring roll was more akin to a filo tart, which is fine, as it was freakin' delicious. Loved the addition of fresh blueberries.

Equally delicious were the 72-hour short ribs (29); cooked sous vide with no bones in sight. A bordelaise sauce added richness, a tomato, fennel & goat cheese "pie" posed as the vegetable component and the most stupendous bacon fries tried to steal the limelight. These little beauties were like long tater tots, just mixed with bacon.

A peach tatin cake (6) was up for sharing; spongy and dense almost like French toast, tangled with fried strips of pastry, hazelnut brown butter ice cream and a blackberry saké sabayon. We may have been in the south, but it was nice to cap things off with something that wasn't "the norm".

Great selection of fish, with beautiful presentations. The only drawback, not the fault of the restaurant, was that some super-loud people at an adjoining table spoiled an otherwise very enjoyable meal.

I hosted a dinner on the 2nd floor of fish for about 30 people. The staff was amazing and the food was impressive. I have eaten at fish several times, but this was my first private event. I will definitely use them again.
